The randomization of maps In diablo 2 was greater than in Diablo 3.
Random Quests are a new addition but something that i really enjoy and would like to see more of.
Dungeons themselves are not random but their maps are somewhat, i would also be interested in a random dungeon generator, or at the very least increased randomisation of maps within dungeons.
I'm pretty sure everyone would like more randomization
Although some people don't seem to enjoy this as much as your average diablo fan. People desperately want an "efficient farming route", instead of a "let's see what happen today" feeling.

I do understand the efficient farming route notion, but if your going to be playing a game for a very long time then i dont see how variation can be bad. it also adds an element of realism, not knowing what's coming next, which is excellent when contrasted by the regularity of farming.
I am a little disappointed with the amount of randomness which the game currently has, although the random quests and events plus the random dungeons which only occasionally spawn hint at the possibilities of what could be done.

+1
There were some random side quests in D1 which you received from Gharbad the weak, and maybe wirt??? Oh and the random wizard that spawned in the catacombs....but none that i can think of from D2.
Weird items dropping that lead to side quest's---more of that would be nice..

They need to add a non random mode, so if u check this mode, all maps will be static. I hate farming in, for instance craters, usually you just waste most of the time walking, so I usually skip
what I would do as my farming route is, skip all random maps, clear all static maps, then reset game
stonefort, rankis crossing, tower of damn 1 2, tower of curse 1 2, all the way to azmodan
I just hate places like keep level 1, 2, 3, or crater 1, 2

lol wow, so your ideal map would be like a hallway, or spiral that never changes, or maybe even a room where monsters continually spawn untill you've had your fill.
I find the idea of game which is designed so it can be efficiently farmed to the maximal extent quite ludicrous tbh.
ya, i hate random, farming in this game is already cumbersome anyways, since most of the farmed loots are garbage, should make it such that identify is not needed, so then if u mouse over the crap loot, and u can choose to not pick it up

Uniformity yields Efficiency.
Diversity is inefficient but exciting.
ideally yes, u minimize the walking distance, no need to walk to waste time, then its always full screen of mobs like rankis crossing etc, even if theres no elite, but mobs dying continuously will be interesting for sure
joking, of course, on expense of people who do this on every occasion - every fix, including simple interface options, is unneeded, because game is perfect, and they-so-pro-that-change-is-noob as in recent CTRL poll, where they deny usefulness of rebinding keys.
me-so-pro-that-use-alkaizer-or-what-is-his-name-route-only-me-no-need-random-things. game perfect. what i never understood was how people mindlessly copying what others do call themselves a players? where is the fun in game? never ever my barbarians whirlwinded, and never ever will.

on routing, i worship Clavdivs, The God - he gives it on demand, and that lazy bastard johnny who is supposedly fixing the site will HAVE to work faster - anyway, it was forseen before 1.03 (the god doesn't delete things), then underlined after paragon monster exp equality, than again in last one i have - regarding full linearity of game - not a single 'free' level, not a single 'bad turn', you even have to talk to stupid leah for moving stupid cart. and to talk about optional bigger quest, like countess or ANY main quest being optional - for linearity game gets pure 10. alas-me-so-noob-that-i-like-having-my-game-more-open

I can't help to think that a 100% randomed world map (with different entrances to the cemetery in Act 1, for instance) would help screw bot's farming routes
I like how the game turned out to be, I just wished random dungeons were more populated, sometimes it feels not worth our time to explore it when open areas have a lot more monsters.
I said yes, but only if the randomization doesn't increase the number of dead-ends that make me backtrack. There's nothing more boring in this game than backtracking! It's even worse than running between packs or selling items on the AH... Other than backtracking, though, I see only good coming out of more randomization, even at the cost of farming efficiency, as everyone will lose the same efficiency it doesn't really matter in the end.

Yusss! i knew those extra options would appeal to someone.
Diablo 3's environments are certainly alot more captivating when compared with D2, I dont think wel be going back to square borders!

my favorite right now is rankis crossing and bridge, since theres like full screen of mobs waiting to be killed
I love the paragon system and really hope they do more with that even to the point of AA's like eq
it would be nice to be able to not need run speed, pickup radius etc on items but instead getting it for investing time in your char.
