As far as I can tell, it's a leveling system after you hit 60 where you get a base bonus to MF and GF with every level.
I'm sure it's much more complex than that. A lot of these images are still unidentified. I'm assuming they have to do with different ranks of the system.
I'm kind of disappointed by how paragon levels sound right now. Character progression past 60 is needed in the game, but we already have valor buffs for additional MF/GF. Can't they think of anything else?
To make it worse, bots will benefit the most from paragon levels since they kill faster than any human (over the long term) and they will benefit more from additional MF/GF.
I don't mind, as long as it gives the illusion of some sort of progression. Yeah... I'm that desperate to play Diablo 3...
Last few weeks haven't felt the need to play with patch 1.04, what with the legendaries which will no doubt become a few BiS pieces over rares. Will be nice to come back to at least some sort of additional leveling system
I hope these paragorn levels are account bound, else it will remove my drive to farm with my alts, who will have a lower MF if this system pans out how it seems. This is a drag, because sometimes, I feel like a change.

Yes, so much that! I pretty much left D3 for dead a month after launch, because I had no goals post-60. Sure you can gear up, but that was it! D2 kept me hooked for a long, long time because it was a mindblowingly grind to hit 99 (Post patch 1.10 at least). Hopefully all the new sexy legendaries and this Paragon/Prestige thing will spark my engine again!

Bots get banned alot. Of course they can always find new accounts, but this isn't going to help them a ton.

Seems to me he's been botting for a very long time and so have all of the characters near him in the rankings. Of course bots will benefit, they don't get banned that often or quickly enough to stop it.
Do I care? Meh. I don't like bots for obvious reasons, but I also don't like fun design changes being axed because of a potential for botting. Get rid of the bots, give us a fun game (not saying Paragon Levels is a fun system yet, we'll have to wait and see).

I don't get your point? How do you know that this is a bot? Seeing how rare valuable items are going full GF gear is actually a legit tactic as it gives you a reliable income.
Just see how many lifetime kills and elite kills he has and do the math.

Hey now, killing almost half as many elites as I have in the lifetime of my characters every day since release doesn't mean he's a bot, he could just really like playing the game and play it pretty constantly. That must be it.

When I've been averaging nearly 2 hours /played per day since the game released.. and that guy has more than 50x my lifetime kills and more than 100x my lifetime elite kills.. I think there's more to it than him just being well-geared and playing aggressively.
An "alternate advancement" scheme like these Paragon levels appear to be needs to be accompanied by a swift and brutal application of the Immortal King's Banhammer.
Edit: just noticed... 100x my lifetime elite kills, and he still hasn't completed Act 2 Inferno. His DH, which has three quarters of the kills, hasn't even completed Act 1 Inferno. Yeah, that's not suspicious at all.
I'd be upset if they insituted a MF cap as I've read they may be doing. I've spent a lot of cash and time at the AH digging through gear (due to only having 3 stats to search by) building a perfect MF suit.
I get that a lot of players are upset because they don't find enough rares and are too dumb to wear more MF, and that this is why they're being handed rares on a silver platter. But it's always a bit frustrating when those who've put in the effort are the ones punished for the idiocy of the masses.
I'm kinda sick of my DH anyway, especially with the news that they're ignoring the class's horrible survivability issues in 1.04 in favor of buffing unused skills. If you're on the US realms look for perfect-MF dex vit AR crit / crit dmg gear on the GAH, I'll have reasonable prices since my aim is to get rid of it by 1.04.
My monk has next to no magic find, and I do tend to agree that a magic find cap would feel wrong (even if it would benefit me.) Pre-launch I definitely figured I'd have a magic find gear set by now, but I feel like it's tougher to stack the magic find on some classes than it is for others.
In all honesty, I'm probably gearing wrong, but going from the pre-1.03 defensive requirements to the heavy dps requirements to have a strong chance of succeeding in act 3, has felt rough. It gets expensive trying to get the offensive stats necessary while holding on to some of the defensive stats, let alone adding in the magic find. I haven't played a lot of ranged, but it does feel like they can get away with needing one or two less stats per piece, but again, I'm probably doing it wrong anyway. As excited as I want to be for the game, it just hasn't kept me happy recently, hoping for some good times next patch, though.
We're all in the dark. Blizzard hasn't been forthcoming with any further blogs, the Blues (as usual) are being tight-lipped about data-mining results and yet those strings and art assets are right there, like a big-assed brown cardboard box appearing under the tree two days after Christmas. Who put it there? Is it an unexpected present? Is it a present at all? What's in it? Why does it smell like marmalade and dark chocolate?
All questions will be answered when the patch arrives... unless they aren't.

Wait, because you play way too much, its impossible that someone else could play even more?
Maybe its time to get some sun, and worry less?
Also, beating Inferno isn't that fun. I beat Diablo, got 4 blues, then went back to farming act 1.

Actually, i find 2 hours per day still lets tons of time to get some sun and be social... Seriously i find that pretty casual.

I cant find any information on what paragon levels are or what prestige is. Are we all in the dark about this at the moment?

Maybe D3 gets GREAT when patch 1.10 arrives!

Well....that is when the PVP patch is supposed to come out yes? 1.1? So maybe it will.
Hehe, right, bots are short lived. Oh, wait... http://www.diabloprogress.com/rating.stat_elite_kills
If bots get banned so often, why are the rankings full of toons like this? http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/cor-1674/hero/631780

Wonder what it would be divided into days compared to the # of days the game has been out...
