I have taken it upon myself to spread the word and to deter others from making the same mistakes I have made in the last couple of days. My 5 year old son was playing on my account and he deleted some of my characters, I could not retrieve not even one of them myself from the character selecting as I deleted his hero he created.
I asked for a roll back to re-instate them but they can not as there was no breach recorded, and as far as I am aware that is the only way to get them back. But I was that desperate to get my characters back and all their gear. I organised a false breach so as to get a roll back to get my characters back after all that time and effort I had poured into it was gone. So I asked a innocent friend to log into my account so it would be detected as a breach, therefore allowing me to apply for a roll back. I only wanted my characters back, if anything I lost gold and items I had gathered in the last 24hrs.
Here is my reply to ticket I received after the incident:
I wish to apologise for the events that have transpired over the last couple of days, and ask for your forgiveness. I am the only guilty party, and therefore take all responsibly for any and all punishment. Please reinstate "insert name here" account as he had no knowledge and was a unwitting innocent friend I asked to assist in my unbecoming behaviour. At no point in time did he intend to breach, conspire or deceive so in any way, shape or form in such a manner.
He's guilty only of being a angel of a friend to one who's acted like a demon.
The only thing I ask for myself is a lengthy suspension instead of a complete ban. Yes, surely a big kick up the back side is deserved as a fair and just warning but I have had none in such a form. Please forgive me for what I have ashamedly done and unreservedly apologise for.
I have learnt my lesson well friend, I will spread the word forth via post on several forums including this one to the community of my deceitful decisions and the punishing punishments that waits you're flaming fury of such fool hardy people such as myself. As to teach and deter others from such actions and prevent such idiotic and unworthy acts from happening in the future so as not to waste you're valuable time and resources and to make everyone's gaming experience a better place.
Thank you for you're time and understanding. The grovelling, remorseful and unashamedly apologetic Big_Badf.
The sad part is that Blizzard gave you absolutely no support on something.
Honestly? I've had issues in WoW that were denied by one and accepted by a second GM. That was the exact same issue.
They don't want to loose customers due to stupidity of one or another representative. If I was in your shoes, I would have tried to open a second ticket and then even call Blizzard.
However, crossing the line to simulate a security breach really makes you loose the case, unfortunately. =(

It's not like you killed someone.
Perhaps that would've been more productive
