Then don't sell that on RMAH. Derp. Considering the items vendor for more then what the mats sell for it was hardly gonna sell for any amount on RMAH even with a lower minimum price setting.
the item often vendors for less than what the mats sell for, no need to be rude, i'm sure if the minimum was set to 5 cents each or 3 cents each they would sell

Working with adobe and/or java is like pushing a paper clip against a building and expecting it to move...
The way RMAH is set up now, there will be no market for Gold.
Right now, the minimum is $0.25 per trade.
Gold is said to be traded in units of 100K.
This means the minimum value of gold on the RMAH is $2.50/million.
The market value currently is roughly $1.5 per million gold. Even if you tack on a 15% tax, the "street value" is no more than $2/million.
This means that it would always be more profitable to use your gold to buy radiant stars, then sell the radiant star on the RMAH.

It is seriously broken.
Yup. So much for 'we will let the economy regulate itself' we have min and max values, that doesn't seem like self regulation to me, and it's all so blizz can get their 15%.
$2.50 per mil for gold on RMAH when it is as low as $1 per mil on third party goes 100% against the design philosophy. They said it was so people wouldn't use third party, but their arbitrary restrictions make it so OF COURSE people will use third party. So stupid it's silly.
I don't think commodity sales are going to work on the RMAH. No one is going to pay the minimum prices for all those crafting mats. I'm personally sticking to selling high end items on the RMAH and the rest of the crap on the gold AH.
Yeah, I made a post about this yesterday. Absolutely unnecessary minimum pricing, I don't mind that I have to sell at least a dollars worth, but setting a maximum 25 times higher per unit than what you would expect to get on a good day for mats that are supposed to be sold in bulk? Yeah, someone dropped the ball here. I refuse to believe the numb skulls at blizzard did not see this coming. So, either they made a mistake somewhere, are accepting the limitations of their own code way too easily, or just haven't gotten around to correcting the problem yet.
All they have to do to fix it is make gold sold in units of 1 million instead of 100k. Problem solved. who's going to buy 100k gold anyway? 100k is not enough to worry about.
Wow. I get the whole "minimum sale price" bit, as Paypal takes a cut (as do credit card companies. Back in the day, minimum sale prices where common with CCs). That said, I am surprised that it is minimum per ITEM not minimum per transaction. I just can't see the point, unless they're trying to limit the amount of transactions or something.
