I have no lust to loggon anymore. I just login to try and find something on AH I can buy and sell on RMAH.
I havent farmed or barly even logged in for a week now. Seriously, Diablo 3 must be the biggest fail since I started to play computer games back in the late 90s
Any idea's on what you're going to do now?

In D3 or general?
Well, D3 it seems that in a week I will quit for good. Maybe login to help mates when they need a proper tank.
Otherwise I guess work out more, play ps3 more, maybe start Tibia again. I feel so dispointed with Blizzard that I think its gonna be a while before I play their games again. (Unless they magically fixes D3 in a close future)

All you can do is figure out what makes you happy and then commit to it, a step in the right direction! No point griping (without any proper constructive criticism) about a materialistic item that supposed to occupy a fraction of your life for a small fee.

blizz is only going to release more nerfs every few weeks so that's not going to happen. they've said as much.
also, customer service doesn't exist for this game. i got the same bullshit when my hellish staff of herding disappeared due to their bug. as did many other people.
I didn't read the thread but what is so bad about 1.0.3 that is making people quit?
Inferno is actually fun as a ranged class now. The WD doesn't really have anything to help him survive much (+armor/resist self buffs) but I can take quite a few hits if I gear for it. Before the patch, it was pointless to go vit or + resist. Health globes actually mean something now and you're allowed to actually play the game and not just play a game of tag where you explode if anything hits you.
I think people are just upset that they have to pay more gold for their mistakes now (btw the new repair changes in 1.0.3a are awesome). Combine that with the fact that you can't just stack IAS to win and we have a lot of upset campers? Adapt and learn to play the game... the end-game was horrible before 1.0.3 but now it's pretty amazing.
Once they fix the Act 3/4 drop rates (why oh why would they think nerfing them would be a good idea? Nice one Jay) this game will be sitting pretty.

Devil's advocate here and of course this is only conjecture. As far as I know they never exposed pre 1.03 drop rates to us right? If they did then this entire post is wrong and everyone can just move along. My theory is simply that pre 1.03 the drop rates in Act III and IV were higher but that was because pre patch those were the only places certain ilvl items were available. Enter 1.03 and those items were now available in other places. The attempt at balance, and an admitted bad one, was to keep the overall drop rate the same but spread it out across more acts. In effect it nerfed drop rates in Acts III and IV. Now they are going to boost them which should increase the amount of higher ilvl drops in circulation.

They have not stated the exact pre-patch rates but Bash admitted that the rates in act 3/4 were reduced in 1.0.3 and will be increased in 1.0.3b.
From my personal experience (which I would rate +/- 5%) I would say that they decreased the amount of sub req lvl 60 stuff by 25% with 1.0.3 in Act 3. I was getting around 75% lvl 60+ gear before the patch and now it's down to 48% (as stated in the patch notes). It has been pretty noticeable to anyone that farmed a decent amount before 1.0.3.
People are not leaving the game because of attack speed or any damage nerfs, you got it a bit wrong.
People are leaving the game because of simple things they got bothered with :
1. Drop rate is ruined and game is completely broken now. Farming is completely useless now, unless you want to vendor everything you get.
2. People are annoyed with RMAH and AH. I personally don't have anything against those but it would be better without them probably.
3. There are so many broken classes, broken skills and so many bugs.
4. There is no end game for hard core players. This is not D2, this is not time of gaming from 1999. This is 2012 and people like challenges, end game content and rewarding system.
So once again, there are many issues with the game and damage is the last problem. I m personally still playing game even tho I cleaned entire content 3 weeks ago. Loot is currently broken as long as many other things. I m not a flamer, QQ'er or anything like that.
I m not fan of blizzard nor any other gaming company. I play games I like, I don't care who made them. Be realistic and don't look at the game subjectively.
I hope blizzard will fix this game soon cause game itself has a lot of potential to rock and roll.
Have fun
1: Wrong, I have no problems finding great items in act 1-2-3. In the past 5 days I have made more than 20million gold.
2: People who are annoyed with the AH's are simply ignorant. The AH takes the place of the massive trading you had to do in D2. RMAH takes the place of ebay because anyone with half a brain who played D2 knows people sold tons of stuff on ebay.
3: Broken classes? no. Broken skill? Not really. Bugs? Name one game in the world that has no bugs, I dare you.
4: The Diablo franchise has never been about endgame so complaining about no endgame simply shows your ignorance and stupidity. This is not WoW, this is not Rift, this is not SWTOR. This is an ARPG and nothing more.

it's a fact that companies hire people to post positive things on forums. sony and bioware were both caught doing it. and what about all the paid off game reviews on sites?
Nope, I don’t work for blizzard nor have I been paid to post what I post.
I just think that Diablo 3 is a great game, why do I have to work at blizzard or be paid by a third party to praise something? If you bought a car and you liked it, you would tell your friends and family right? Why would the car manufacturer or dealership need to pay you to do that?
Also, I take time out of my day to post what I do because I want to vocalize what I think about the game and give my opinions on it and the fan base. I just think that the forums are just filled with hate and negativity towards the game. Maybe it’s the new generation of gamers – maybe something else. I don’t really know. I just wanted to show that not everyone hates this game, and hopefully add some thoughts and opinions to help other gamers in a bind and wanting to “quit”.
I can't say I'm in love with D3, but I find it pretty enojoyable so far. And I'm glad they did what they did in 1.0.3. Dying numerous times to a ridiculously overpowered mobs is not funny at all.

1. Maybe, but I don't find a single item I can use in a couple days killing stuff in Act 1.
2. I never traded in D2 but could clear the game by myself, with the gear I found.
3. Agree there, don't think it is that bad. Apart from the silly bear-bug.
4. Think what D2 did right and D3 doesn't is that there is a good chance you can get the rarest and best items yourself (if doing boss runs is fun is a whole different discussion).
Anyway, for me the Blizzard games of the past were all excellent, superb games (D1, D2, Starcraft, warcraft RTS franchise and wow and TBC), but since a few years they just seem to settle for good games.
1: At some point you will stop finding items for yourself. This is Diablo, this game is about farming and trading. Trading now means making use of the AH. You sell items that are good for other classes to buy items that are good for you. You WILL NOT drop upgrades for yourself in any reliable manner.
2: Diablo 2 had 3 difficulties and Hell mode was the hardest. That's a joke, because even hell wasn't hard. In D2 anyone could faceroll one to ninety-nine and through all 3 difficulties. This is Diablo 3, they have upped their game. D3 nightmare is the best comparison to D2 hell. The game is harder and as such gear is actually important. D2 trading wasn't "necessary" to do anything because the entire game as easy, again, this is not D2, this is D3, and they raised the bar.
3: kk
4: What D3 is doing right that D2 did wrong is making it viable to simply clear everything to get your loot. Making a game in D2, killing 3 bosses, then resetting got old quick. In D3 we can start an act and play through it and with NV we get tons of drops off every elite pack and boss making the game overall more fun and entertaining. Plus, In D2, you didn't have NV to guarantee at least one good drop as you do now. I spent hours upon hours MF farming with my bowazon without getting anything good, even with fully stacked MF and small MF charms. Now I hop into A1, clear the instance, and get tons and tons of chances at really really good stuff.
Your nostalgia makes me sick. I have played every blizzard PC game every made (lost vikings anyone) and I haven't noticed anything close to a drop in quality. Blizzard is an amazing company and can't be blamed when they change according to the market. If your taste in gaming doesn't change with the market, that's not Blizzards fault. Do I think they could have done things different? Of course. But I think they could have done things different with all of their games.
Blizzard has done a great job with D3, but some people will always want more and/or think they know better.

Yah it was also shelved for a few years after that and redone (likely from scratch) with an entirely new team.
So, SO COMPLETELY misinformed.
Ok, for simplicity's sake;
Lets see if you can put this one together all by yourself.
The original D3 was going to be an MMO (yup, like wow), but they completely scrapped that in late 04 early 05 and disbanded Blizzard North.
They then formed a NEW team, and started from scratch. (As evidenced by dramatically different game engines being used)
Common, BASIC MATH is real hard I know, but you can do it.

I've cleared act 3 before 1.03, i did it once on patch day seeing how worthless the loots are, and haven't gone back since then
