I'm sick and tired of farming act 1 for shitty loot. I try to go in act 2 but I get the shit kicked out of me. I do better since the difficulty has been reduced, but i still die dozens of time and now it costs me around 25k every 30 minutes to repair my shit. HOW THE FUCK DO THEY WANT US TO PROGRESS IF WE CAN'T EARN GOLD AND IF THE GEAR WE NEED ONLY DROPS 2 ACTS LATER ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I wish I could post all my stuff for you to see what i'm dealing with. While it's not the best stuff around, i think it's alright, makes me handle act 1 with ease. But forget about act 2, and I don't even want to think about what kind of gear you need for act 3-4.
I play smart, i evade and dodge (or at least try to with the shitty hit detection that we got in this game) I use spells that will slow enemies, hex them (im a WD) and try to have a good combo of dps and support spells, all that to say that I don't think it's because I suck at microying that i'm doing so poorly in act 2. I have 32k life, 3.6k amor and 300 res and 19k DPS.
I am this close on dropping this game. Can't find the gear i need to progress, don't have the gold to buy the 30,000,000 gold items on AH, this just sux right now. Looks like 10 years is not enough to make a game, way to go fucking blizzard...
You can farm good gear in Act 1 now, read the patch notes.
Money is there to be spent! Farm act 1 or act 4 Hell to bunker up on some gold then before going inferno.
Have you ever considered that you might just not be that good?
No I did not for I am awesome at pretty much any video games that comes out that I put the smallest effort in it. I beat all my games on the hardest settings within days, have a shit load of platinum trophies if you have any idea what those are, always finish in top 3 in matches in online FPS BF3/cod, was ranked top 20 in warcraft 3 on azeroth and im passing. With that said, I have nothing to prove to you so, yeah w/e. And since when this game is hard, give me the gear and i will rape through everything. There was this Barb on act 2 with crazy gear, all he was using was cleave, i didnt see him use any spells besides berserker and volcano, so please, don't come here and tell me you need skills to play this game a 10 years old could play.
yeah well, i guess your "LEET" fps/rts skills dont transfer to an RPG.. imagine that! stop playing and give us all relief from your stupidity
also.. my wd has 700 res all 4k armor and 25k dps without buying anything from the RMAH and ive spent less then 3million total on the gold one.. pretty sure the problem is whats in front of the screen, not on it.

I laugh at you for thinking diablo3 needs skills to be played, or any rpg for that matter. My fucking 9 years old cousin plays D3 and while he's not in inferno mode yet he finished the game alone up to izual on hell mode by never changing his spells in his hot bar since he's lvl 45. But he has good gear because he plays this thing 20/24 7/7 so he can manage without doing much. Yeah D3 is for the elite games alright. -sigh-
I am guessing that the game will feel much more complete and polished by the time we have all the expansions out. Right now it just feels like a game that doesn't really have a whole lot to offer given the insane dev time it took to get the game out.
Hate to seem cynical, but I got bored fast. And I consider myself a very devout fan of the series. Shame. :/ Guess I'm getting too old for games ;_;
There was this Barb on act 2 with crazy gear, all he was using was cleave, i didnt see him use any spells besides berserker and volcano, so please, don't come here and tell me you need skills to play this game a 10 years old could play.
So in your own words, you are less skilled than a 10 year old. Interesting. Cheer up, I'm sure you're not that bad!
D3 is a gear-focused game. With the changes in 1.0.3, it's a lot easier to farm the gear you need in the earlier acts, while also making it easier to progress in the later acts. If you kept farming Act 1 Inferno until you were sick of it pre-1.0.3 (when it wasn't as lucrative), thus meaning you're even more sick of it post 1.0.3 when it can drop some useful stuff... That's not really anyone's fault but your own.
Personally I can't wait to log in and get farming. Going to try progressing first, but if that doesn't work I'm totally up for farming act 1 some more. Still having fun, because I haven't gorged myself on the game. Pace yourself, maybe take a break and come back later. If you do the same thing over and over, no matter what it is, you're going to get sick of it.
Im with Jackoo on this one. D2 shits all over D3. At least they didn't Nerf every class and make them harder and harder every 2 months so people have to try change their game style all the time. Leave Jackoo be.
Funny how everyone is slandering Jackoo for having an opinion when it takes more guts to voice one. Those who have a go at someone for having a voice are lower then maggots in MY OPINION. Get it. Got it. Good now F@%k OFF
Have you ever considered that you might just not be that good?

LOL!
You're saying that you're a pr0l33t-g4m3r, BUT you can't progress in a game that is according to you, supposed to be super-duper easy. So then.. What's wrong?
The game was just ridiculously overnerfed. You are meant to spend time farming in Act 1, the difference now is that by the time you get to Act 4 you will be able to take 4-5 "wind-up" style avoidable attacks, kill yellow and blue packs together and have no challenge in the game at all.
They just broke the game by making inferno too easy, not too hard.
You were slain by "Diablo fans"...serves you right for having a contrary opinion
Yeah I supposed I should have known better then posting here where braindead peeps will accept whatever blizz throw at them.
Now now that's not true! All it takes is a little patience, friend! I farmed act 1 inferno for days. Now I'm progressing through act 2 quite smoothly with >400 resistance on my barb, he is also using a 2handed weapon so you can imagine I'm taking even more damage without a shield.
I got pretty lucky with some of the gear I got from act 1 inferno, 1 legendary, 1 set item (pretty mehish) and a crap load of rares. Just keep farming and you will run into something eventually!
Also remember, you don't need to clear out the whole area in a zone, you're in inferno now, you know you're going to die! just get to the next checkpoint! and have fun while killing/dying to funny things! I know I do

Bashiok - Blizzard Representative - 08/01/2011 -"So how many skill combinations are there now? Well taking into account 6 active skills, all the rune combinations, and 3 passives we currently expect each class to have roughly 2,285,814,795,264 different build combinations."
"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"
Yeah I supposed I should have known better then posting here where braindead peeps will accept whatever blizz throw at them.
OMG, man you're awesome! And I'm not even joking/trolling. Your rage-topic made my day, please post more, I literally can't stop laughing.
Here, take +1 for being hilarious (I just can't believe you're serious).
P.S. However, if you ARE serious then consider farming A1 for 2-3 days and see how it goes. With the recent loot distribution changes you should be able to get some real upgrades that will let you progress a bit further in A2. 19k DPS is good for A1, but is pretty low for A2.
You know i'll admit the repair bills did kind of suck but i did notice a change in the drops as i was farming act 1 yesterday. I even tried act 2 a bit and was having a noticeably easier time in act 2. Unfortunately, i kind of sold some of my barbs equipment on the RMAH lol. So i was wearing some less then desireable gear lol. normally i'm at 40k hp with ~900 RA, 8k armor (warcry) and about 15k dps. but yesterday i was only at 6k armor, 600ra and 25k hp, and about 12k dps and doing not too bad. Once my auctions end or i buy some new pieces for my barb imma try him out in act 2 and 3 to see how he does.
You know i have to admit that your post is pretty funny and you could be trolling or serious and that really doesn't matter to me. However, if you are serious then i think something is wrong with the way you play. You claim that your this elite gamer and that every game you pick up you can beat in a matter of days on the hardest difficulty. Well unfortunately inferno isn't just about your skill at playing the game. it's also about putting time and effort into farming money/gear so you can attempt the harder acts. It sounds like you just expected to cruise through the whole thing with minimal effort and that your not as good at this game as you think you are. If you did put as much time and effort into the game as you say you have then you should have progressed farther then you have. I've progressed as far as you have and i get to play maybe 3-4 days a week for maybe 3 hours at a time. I hit 60 well behind the curve and struggled to keep up with the market and i'm playing a melee class with a 2hander, which imo has had it alot harder prior to this patch.
I'm not saying i'm better then you but alot of the things you say don't add up and honestly i think your either a troll or just not as good as you think you are at this particular game...
Have you ever considered that you might just not be that good?

all those people who have beaten act II inferno are better at video games than you are. Enjoy your trophies, which, are actually just pixels and not actual accolades.

I full cleared act 1 a total of three times today and amassed the following
1 BS Recipy
4 Legenderies
76 Rares of ilvl61 to ilvl63
Just like the old item hunting days back in LOD. This is fun.
