i care about nothing in this patch save for 2 things and they relate to one another
1. Act 1 inferno will now have a small percentage to drop lvl 62 and 63 loot effectively allowing players to progress without spending mind blowing prices at the ah. Bravo blizz you got it right it makes sense that u farm a previous act to get the gear to progress not the 2 acts above it. im in this for weeks of farming to progress not pay to win.
2. there nerfing inferno act 2 and above. NO STOP THAT you fixed the problem with point number one now leave it alone,
There are a few abilities in act 2-4 which needs to be fixed/nerfed because they are currently ridiculous. Such as too high dmg on a few abilities and annoying AI on some mobs - like act 4 mobs charging you from way outside the screen or act 2 bees being generally annoying,
The overall difficulty shouldn't be reduced though - sadly it looks like it will.
And then of course classes should be balanced to allow for more skill diversity, but that wont be next patch anyway.
To be fair, going from clearing Act 1 Inferno with zero real risk (for example, the Butcher's chain-spear AoE hits me for maybe 12k on my 27k health DH), and then having the Lacuni in the first canyon HIT me for 16k, the Wasps for 23k... there is progressive difficulty, and then there is "I Wanna Be The Guy/Boshy"... so bloody hard, the only thing you can hope to do is death zerg it and pray you get a little further, each time.
Balancing the difficulty curve is not nerfing, when the currently existing curve is not the design goal the company wanted.
It is PERCEIVED nerfing by the community (and a very small portion of it), because they don't want other people in their "stomping grounds", so to speak.
Also, it is going to support further build/playstyle diversity in the end-game, instead of there being 1-4 "REQUIRED" skills, for any class, to even be viable (let alone optimal).
I was promised by blizzard that inferno difficulty would be unlike anything i had ever experienced in one of there games and that progressing through a single act could takes weeks...... they lived up to that so far. i spent 12 days farming mahdga just so i could kill ZK. it has taken me three weeks to farm enough gear from act 2 just to get to belial im a barb btw. this is what i was promised. i dont use the ah because i dont pay to win. say what u will about that but thats just how i play. i agree with the gear drop change it just makes sense. but like i said the balancing as most of you will call it is easily fixed by my first point now that u can get the gear

Lots of respect for not using AH. AH hurts the game imo.
The game should always be balanced around people who do not trade.
But there are things in act 3-4 which WILL kill people, no matter how good gear they get - so allowing gear to drop in act 1 wont fix everything. Some things does need to be balanced out.
Then there are stuff which might not kill you, but are just really stupid to play against (such as Invulnerable mobs).
Hopefully they increase the difficulty in other areas when/if they nerf it in some areas. For example they could easily make normal mobs harder in Inferno. Instead of pretty much only getting challenged from elite packs.
Likewise HP should probably be increased on most mobs in act 3-4, and especially on bosses.

thats the point of inferno though. your supposed to get killed wheres the fun in a game that has no chance of death even if i have all the best possible loot in the entire game i do not want to be immortal
There are so many problems in the game it's amazing and it does need fixing, and Inferno DOES need to be nerfed damage wise.
Barbarians are not meant to be played with 1h + shield, but currently it's the only way to effectively farm Act 3/4.
Monks are in the same shit. Just because you're a ranged class shredding through monsters doesn't mean that other classes have it as easy.
Izual Act 4 is bugged as shit. He does his aoe which insta kills me on my DH. He does yell 2 things randomly before he casts, but the problem is he sometimes casts at the same time as he yells, sometimes near the end of the meaning, and our only defensive ability against it (Smokescreen) lasts for 1.5 sec. Broken mechanic is broken.

i am a barbarian so yes i know the plight of which u speak and yes playing a sword and board is a little aggravating but i do whatt i must

The wasp and lacuni bombs are specific abilities that are completely out of line with the rest of the act. In nightmare those damn things hit the hardest of anything, not surprisingly they do the same in inferno. The rest of the trash felt about the same to me as when I first hit Inferno Act 1.
There are some problems with rangers being forced into glass cannon while melee have to go 100% defense, but it's going to be ugly if damage gets nerfed to the point that melee can literally sit and tank bosses rather than having to move around, and let the glass cannons nuke in complete safety. I'd rather they just target specific abilities as well as bringing down boss damage or certain ability combos.
Butcher is kind of a joke compared to most of the mobs leading up to him. I actually wish they would make the act bosses a touch harder. They don't have to compete with the crazy elites, but they should feel like more than trash, like you're ready to actually start the next act when you strong enough to beat them.

You should get killed if
1) You dont have good enough gear and 2) you don't play well enough.
There should never be a time where you get killed by something you could not ever avoid.
That is not a challenge, that it just stupid. Especially for HC.
Show me a video of any class fighting an inferno champion/elite soul lasher/ripper pack without dying at the highest tier of gear, then I'll say that inferno does not need any nerfs or re-tuning.

Cant wait for the Legendary/Set items buff! (in the next patch after 1.0.3)
I do wish they would make the bosses a bit harder, and maybe make class specific items have a slightly better chance at class specific stats rolling.
And thats about it.
