Played for about 3 hours, at the Sunken Temple Quest, logged out for a while and now I return to problems with the servers.
I'm an original fan of Diablo, as it came out, I was playing it, along with it's sequel. From what I can tell so far with D3 is that it feels like Dungeon Seige 2, but with more blood, and darker tones, and a non-adjustable camera.
I'm enjoying the game, don't get me wrong, I've waited since that first splash image on Blizzard back in 2008. But there are a few faults with this that seem to be deal breakers.
With these problems today, Blizzard should either beef up their servers, or eliminate the single player online only thing completely. Why do we have to sign into the Blizzard network anyway to play single player? How difficult would it be to implement a patch that will have a completely offline single player campaign? Is there seriously a need to check authenticy EVERY single time I start D3?
I'll continue to play this over and over, but there is no way I'll stick around for another decade for a sequel, assuming that happens.
i agree with you 100 on everything. but the reason they SAY there is no single player is to stop the hackers and dupers..that ruined d1 and d2. im pissed right now i cant play
Actually I don't mind this hurdle, it'll all get better soon. I was personally more annoyed at the dialogue and acting... but man the gameplay was good!!

yeah, but... come on... d2 had an offline only mode separate from b.net. It sucked, but it's better than this...
