If I told you "a bunch of stuff blows up, a couple dozen bad guys die, but he kicks a lot of ass and defeats them in the end" before you saw an 80s Van Damme movie, would you really be upset at the 'spoiler'?
Okay so the title was just made up (duh), But it brings up the issue of spoilers
Sadly this happens for almost all games. However, there are people that do want to know this kind of information and these things will be coming left and right come may 14th (possibly sooner depending on what kind of leaks get thrown out).
the key point to this, is that this applies to the news as well. Obviously as movies are posted (may 14th from other regions) we will want to post those up right away (with an obvious SPOILER and such) but how long before the lack of said spoiler warning is in the 'ok'
Also,on the forum side, we will of course be keeping a massive lookout for these, but please if you see anything that looks like its about to be a spoiler, please please feel free to hit the report button (even if you didnt read the full post)
Obviously don't just go reporting everything all crazy like, but if from the title, or even from the text it starts like "So there was a leak where....." "Just found out that Cain ....." ...ect feel free to stop reading so you don't spoil yourself, and we will check it out for you (and put it in a spoiler tag, or add spoil to the title..w/e)!
Honestly 1 to 2 weeks seems like the sweet spot , but vote away (as what I think is good, others may not agree).
If you guys have any fears or concerns about spoilers post away.
NOTE: Im asking this to get a basic idea of what you all think before I decide on a time, as your thoughts are important!
I won't be visiting this website till I have completed the game
I voted a month, while I'm not in this category we do need to think of those that visit the site regularly but do not have much free time to actually play the game because of family, sport, uni/college, work. So pretty much life in general.
Though if maybe news announcements or spoiler announcements had that little thing where you click the [spoiler] button and it shows the contents of the spoiler, that would be nice :).

"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"
I love the song John Butler made about you, just thought I'd throw that out there.

i started out voting a month, because some people are just slow...but then i thought about why people come here. this is a news site, and month old news is not news lol. so i changed my vote to a week.
I would say less than a week so I didn't vote. I'd say 72 hours. I will be one of the many who avoid this forum until I beat the game on normal. In fact, until I beat the game on normal, I will also avoid the gym, homework (until the day it's due), sleep, social activities, et cetera. Can't wait to start wrecking mobs with the barb!

I make sure people go to jail. The only thing more fun is Diablo 3.
People are going to charge the game anyway and finish AT LEAST normal in the first week, and for all we know content is repeatable only harder so.. how bad can spoilers be :|..
Spoilers are forever spoilers for people that didn't play the game yet. I, for example, played Diablo 1 and 2 only recently, as a preparation for Diablo 3, so it helped me very much when people warned about spoilers even for such old games.
In my opinion, every thread containing spoilers should be marked as such, no matter if the spoiler is one week, one month or ten years old.
I personally don't believe spoilers have an expiration date. Take Game of Thrones for instance. The first book was published back in 1996. I've never read the books. Now that the HBO series is on the air and I am actively watching it, it's still very possible for story plot to be spoiled for me.
Same applies to video games and pretty much any outlet that relays a story.

Oh pitiful shadow lost in the darkness,
Bringing torment and pain to others.
Your damned soul wallowing in your sin.
Perhaps... it is time to die.
Spoilers are whenever the information about something ruins the anticipation and nuance of a story/game, That means for anyone that hasn't played and knows the story of anything, it will be a spoiler if they find the information or are told without asking. Therefore, Forever. /Thread
