no, he said he would be owning it up more than me. so i challenged him. herpderp

No matter which one of you 'wins', you both lose.

O_O. in your world everyone plays video games for exactly the reason and way you do and anyone else playing it any other way is doing it wrong

Nope. In my world games are entertainment. Something fun to do for my own personal satisfaction.

In my world I don't care if someone else does something faster/better than I do. I only care if my entertainment dollar is well spent.

If it really matters to you that you play a GAME 'better' than some other random person on the internet, you have larger issues that you should probably worry about.

in your world people get entertainment in the exact same fashion as you do from everything because games are only meant to be played in one way and any other way is wrong... man wtf is that overwhelming feeling of deja vu

    You misunderstand me.

I don't care if people rush through the game. That's how they want to play, then fine. It's their time.

What makes no sense is why you even care if you get through content faster/better/more efficiently than someone else. Their gameplay doesn't affect you. Your gameplay doesn't effect them.

Why do you give a shit if you do it faster?

people play lots n lots of games for competition and the competition is whats entertaining to them. and when someone else says they will do better than me its fun for me to challenge and beat people. simple as that

Now please point me to where they say they died several times in normal ;)

ah ok. he said nightmare. nearly equally as sad considering the leap of difficulty from norm to nightmare isnt even noticeable in D2, if anything id say nightmare is easier if you manage to at least find a couple pieces of ok gear since in normal you could go long periods of time with complete shit white gear.

    lol you are an idiot.
You will die in "normal" a few times. They may be silly deaths because you weren't expecting a boss to do that, but you will die. You will also die in nightmare several times and in Hell a lot and in inferno a lot. The best gamers in the world die all the time its just how fast they figure out why they died and how to counter it that makes them good.
You are just one of those people that think they are good and like arguing with people on forums.
You're really comparing D3's difficulty to D2's when you have never played D3 and D2 came out 10 years ago? That sums up my first sentance of this post.

Lets be fair here, antirepublican is just as annoying and that anton or something monk dude is just as douchey.

The idea is to ignore the Trolls. If you bring attention to them you give them what they desire. Let the Mods do their job, and ignore the posts that make it past them.

I've slowly become an advocate of WHHB, he may troll slightly be he almost always speaks sense and uses his head; a rarity on most internet forums. I'll take WHHB over antirepublican any day

I don't think it splits so neatly into ranged/melee in terms of inferno difficulty. I think the two classes best suited for inferno will be the Barb and Wizard, because their tool-kits for varying builds are so diverse. They each have impressively multiple ways to approach a problem area, and overcome it.

I'd put Monk and WD in the next tier where each has a primary survival tactic, with a few tricks up the sleave.

DH comes in last for soloing Inferno in my expectation, because kiting is the only real survival strategy available. If you run into something you can't kite, or burst down, what do you do?

All that said, while solo-ing inferno will be technically possible, I expect group play will be far more preferable. Embrace it.
I grew up gaming without internet forums. The entire phenomenon of being upset with a game developer makes no sense to me. No sense. I cannot imagine spending my time and energy being upset about something I choose to do for recreation.

Melee classes will never be as good as ranged classes UNLESS they can stay on the front 100% of the time

as a melee class you have to draw back to recover, while you do that, you deal 0 ( ZERO ) dmg .
The more you have to do this the more worthless you will be :D
Plus you have to sacrifice stats/skills to survive longer on the front, which means less dmg output.

i would add that you wont be as quick attacking stuff, but what i've seen so far the monk is pretty much always on the front ( teleport strike ) and the barb can jump or pull stuff, so this shouldnt be an issue in d3

my first points, well we'll see
with endgear maybe melee > ranged :)
