@ redpanda...actually that was NOT a double negative. It would have been had he said "I didn't not say.." instead of what he actually said, which was "I didn't say not..." which is grammatically correct.
When did I say the grammar was bad? I pointed out that it was two negatives and that it was hard to understand what he was thinking if he wasn't clear and precise.
I like how I point out a simple issue that bars the true understanding of his thought process and some guy thinks he understands the English language.
A double negative means that when a sentence is spoken it may imply that the opposite is what the person meant. It is also used in situations where you want to down-play something. In this case - there was nothing to down-play.
IE: I did not say that I did not shoot him.
I didn't say I was uninterested (not interested also works).
Not sure if you understand...but the act of negation is done by words like not. If it is used in the same sentence twice - it IS a double negative.
I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you live in one of the nations that currently accepts double negation as an intensity rather than a method of negation.
Was it necessary for us to come to the point where we argue over English simply because I was curious as to which statement he was attempting to say?
I mean, his entire view-point changes depending on whether he said that you need defense vs. you don't need defense.
Didn't sound quite right to me so I looked into it. My mistake. You are correct and it WAS a double negative. I wasn't trying to cause an argument just didn't want the poor guy to take shit for nothing when I know you knew what he meant...unless you really didn't somehow. But I saw your point as well. Anyways, you were correct.
On Beta (aka normal, aka super easy mode, aka monsters arent even an 8th as agressive or have crazy abilities as they will have in harder difficulties), I dodged around like a crazy motherfucker on my DH. Nothing ever touched me the moment I got Vault.

"once the pretty hardcore gamers we had testing inferno found it fairly difficult, we then we doubled it" -trolololol jay wilson
Well... not sure what I could say about this situation that hasen't already been said in this thread. I think Inferno will be fine. Still, all of this talk reminds me of when Blizzard threw early raiding stuff like BWL out there as raid content and some high end guilds were straight up calling bullshit on some of the early renditions being actually beatable.
For instance, there was some accusations stating that particular bosses were mathmatically unkillable, as opposed to them being just really challenging. I remember some trash talk going on between a few hardcore WoW guild leaders and Alex Afrasiabi (a.k.a. Furor/Foror/Kalaran/Valnoth) where the guild leaders basically said that Blizzard was cockblocking raid progression on purpose by making it too hard or by delivering bugged content. Furor basically unofficially replied to them by calling them a bunch of pussies, since he's an MMO raiding OG and all.
So in summary, my entire post is completely skippable.
