Hey guys I am just wondering your thoughts on this. Something that really occurred to me during the open beta was that I tended to only focus on 1 stat per hero. E.g. str for barb or int for WD. i.e. the primary stat.
The other stats also have really good benefits like int giving resistances, str giving armor (resist all), dext giving block etc. as secondary effects, however due to the way the primary stat works you can effectively *just* stack it as each primary stat also offers a secondary defensive benefit.
E.g. barbs that just stack STR get armor (reduces all type of damage)
Dext stacking DH/Monk get high levels of block (I assume you can block magic/ranged too - could be wrong)
Int stacking mages can get high levels of resistances (and should be out of melee harm anyway).
So I see a problem here in that it is overly simplistic. Just stack the one attribute and profit?
As you go up in levels you'll get multiple stats per item. So yes, you'll want to stack you primary stat as high as posible, but your secondary atributes you pick to raise should would vary.
A barb with revenge could avoid getting dex to get hit more often, but would instead raise int to get more resistances.
EDIT: here you can see some high level gear from the barbarian preview.
There will be lots of stats/sets to focus on. A GF set, a MF set, a pure Dmg set, Balanced for inferno etc... So no i plan on focusing on a lot of stats.
Like every other Beta example what applies to lvl 13 does not apply to end game. There will be a point when you will focus on other stats to accommodate your build or help with survival i.e. dodge, mitigation, or life.

Am I missing something?
