Are there any people out there who want to experience Beta slowly or full game
once it is released? Please post here
If you want to play with people who take it slow. when D3 releases, lev to 10, make a HC character and play public, it will guarantee that your playing with people who take their time. myself being one of them. :Thumbs Up:
Nice idea but I don't like restarting games one too many times and losing all my items, it kind of scares me
The fear is what makes Diablo fun! My bros and I are going to do our first playthrough on HC. I cant wait for when we stand there before an boss encounter deciding if we should farm a little more before we try it out. The whole entering into the unknown with soo much risk is great! (We lost too many heros to Duriel back in the day)

Well atleast HC will be viable option now since people will not be able to PK anyone out of the blue
You will need people's BNet tags to add them in-game. Recently people got to "choose" a new Account-wide nickname (not sure if just for the D3 beta or for everyone) that has a number attached to it (like JohnDoe#758) and that's how you add people in game.
Also iirc Blizzard will allow people to change it before D3 releases. Don't quote me on this one though.

Exactly! Took me one TPPK to decide to password every game I made afterwards. Its nice to have a door opening to the public players again.
I am looking for people to play the game with that take their time exploring instead of rushing
I am worried that Diablo 3 will become a rush fest once it is released, this thread is just
to check if there are any people at all who enjoy taking it slow instead of rushing saying
go go go come on hurry up etc.

I'm down to destroy everything BESIDES SK. I don't have a boner for that pile of bones. His loot drops are crap. I like rare mob packs. Hit me up on the beta (U.S.) if you want to kill some.

When I play solo I tend to take my time, exploring every corner of the map and listening to every "audiobook" that can be found etc.
But when I play with my friends I prefer to just get to the slaughter, not so much exploring as in just bashing the skull in of every living, and unliving, being we can find. More action, more speed, more blood, more loot.
It's basically like getting drunk, if I drink alone I can enjoy a nice beer or two and just relax, but with my friends there's beer, beer, beer, shots, shots, shots until my brain dies.
I am really talking more about people who just run by the enemies and to the next level as fast as they can :/ those people
get on my nerves

I don't understand why anyone would skip the mobs, that's the reason Diablo is so fun, to kill enemies for loot!
Even if they do they're just gonna find themselves underleveled and forced to go back and farm in order to be able to kill the boss.
And you shouldn't really let those people affect you, since it wont affect your gameplay experience at all. Worry about something else, like what witty remark you want engraved on your tombstone.
Believe it or not they do it, and then the game asks you if you want to teleport to the boss with them or not. If you choose not to teleport you go down later, you missed the crucial part of story line and the boss is dead :\

It's their choice, their problem. Not yours. I don't see why you care about what other people do when it doesn't even affect you?
Wait untill the full game when you want to play multiplayer and hear the story line while exploring the dungeons, NO NO NO HURRY UP HURRY FASTER FASTER WE NEED TO BE HIGHEST LEVEL ON DAY 1 WHO CARES ABOUT THE STORY HURRY UP NOOB

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a blue post that said after release, you won't be able to make a hardcore character until you've beaten normal mode on another character?
No. It's been confirmed via bluepost/tweet that the way it is currently set in the beta is the way it will be on release unless they go out of their way to change it. As it stands HC will be unlocked at level 10.

One of the challenges of playing an online game is finding like-minded players to enjoy the content the same way you'd enjoy the content. No two people are going to want to play through the exact same way, that's why my first play through is going to be a solo play through, even though I have many many friends that will also be playing the game. Enjoying the game at your own pace is crucial to having a positive gaming experience, whether your way of enjoying the game is taking time to read, listen and explore everything or by rushing to max level as fast as you can so you can start farming gear.
There is no right or wrong way to play the game. It may be frustrating for you when you want to watch every video and listen to every bit of lore and the other players in the game are rushing you along, but remember that it's just as frustrating for the other people in the game who are working through the content and moving quickly to have you hold them up while you enjoy the game the way you wish to. It's a two way street, always remember that. Don't try and dictate what has to be enjoyable for someone who isn't you.
It may frustrate you sometimes but it's the nature of online games. Especially games where content is repeated as often as it is in Diablo.
Honestly, the first time I went through the D3 beta, it took me probably 3 hours to complete. Now I can do it, still clearing basically everything without waypoint rushing, in about 100 minutes. However that was when I first got in, which was the first week of September. After 7 months of playing the same thing (and surprisingly still loving it), rushing through some of the less action-oriented areas cannot be helped. I still generally take my time going through the game, but I definitely do not stop to smell the roses anymore. I will definitely be taking it slow in my first 3-4 runs through the full retail game, absorbing all there is available. But once you hit that peak when you feel you know 95% of what is coming, rushing through the content will be a must for most people.

They force you into rushing with them that's why or how they do things!
Don't know how to join in with you :/
You need to include the number...
