Lets see... I've been in the beta since pretty much the start... lots changed in the last patch (14) HOWEVER, I will still roll a Wizz for normal simply because I like ranged attack (yes and i can switch to a melee wizz if i wanted to) and in D2 my main was a Wizz/Sorcerer PLUS I have always like icy skilz (mainly for solo play)
I will roll a Barb HCore char. (which is the easiest class early on IMO) because he has some self heals and a shield if i want and they r all 'round cool
Then maybe a monk for grp play (as he can being heals and can be played strategically) - as I was a healer in WoW and i enjoy helping everyone live.
I honestly have no clue still and I've been playing every class over and over again with each new patch they release. It just gets harder to choose the more they polish each class.
This!
Though, I still like the Barbarian class more. Mainly! because of his Ancient's Spear.
I'm thinking Barb solo and Monk for group *with friends* maybe, i'm not too sure yet, For group i may even try wiz, but DH is still never even going to cross my mind until i have a male and female of everything to 60 :D. That'll take years however.
I've been leaning towards the Demon Hunter for awhile, with my secondary character likely to be a Barb.
But now I'm curious, why is that the DH is considered boring and/or useless? I'm not fortunate enough to be in the beta to see for myself.
I can understand that Melee in the thick of things does feel more involving. Is it that Demon Hunters are less flashy, graphically, than others? Or is there a flaw with their mechanics and damage that I'm unaware of?
There's just something about the abilities i just don't like. Bola shot has a delay, like most abilities do, but it annoys the hell out of me for some reason.
Hungering arrow is just a shameful ability, aim it anywhere and it'll fly towards enemies -.- ... seriously? wtf. Just the noises of the xbows really irritates me. I just hate them period, i can't even explain why. They don't have any appeal to me whatsoever.
Let the random numbers choose the path that you will take.

My place really was here. I was too foolish and stubborn to notice. But, what I truly hoped for then was here. Why do I always realize it When I've already lost it.

Oh, ha! I used to do this with some of the others game I played. This is how my life is pretty much. lol.. Let the random number generator do it for me. haha
I'm pretty sold on the Barbarian but sometimes I lean toward the Monk or Wizard. Since announcement I thought I'd be rolling Witch Doctor but now I'm considering that to be my last character. Playing the Beta makes this feeling worse because each class is so much fun in its own unique way, >.>.

I will either start a Barb or a Wizard for my first class. I really enjoy them both in the beta and can't wait to own in the real game with them. But the Monk is a really close third.

I don't always burn. But when I do, I use hellfire.
Anyone who have played D2 knows that the first char is for finding loot. Since Barb and Monk will be in the front lines, they will be more Items dependant than the others, who can move around and use ranged attacks/spells.
My first char will probalby be Wizard, which I will use to find items for my second and favourite one - Barb. When I have farmed them relatively well for Inferno, the choice for further grinding will be made.
BTW, I personally dislike the looks of the WD and the playstile. He/she will probably be my last char...
It becomes item dependant for melee, i do agree.. however, why not swap to multiplayer to get more MF% from a group, to make up for your lack of, and also, groups = better loots, more loots, higher MF% *maybe* and you can farm faster in a group for gear in say hell, in preparation for inferno, than you would solo hell ;D

You have a point, but still I'd like to depen more on my decisions on where to farm. Maybe when I play with my friends, things will go well... Dunno, we have to see the game first and get the feel of how hard will the other difficulties be, and if more players will bring us more loot... Also you have to think about the MF... Damn I'm excited!

Anyone have any insight to offer?

What if you get a 6? Rolling again isn't an option.
