I am the one im getting, as far as what i can tell via research, can play D3 at probably medium settings.
These are the specs of my new PC, probably going to upgrade the vid card eventually, but it will work for now.
Win7 64 bit
AMD A6 2.2GHz (low end game processor)
8 gigs ram
Radeon HD 6530D
So ya, its a fairly basic gaming computer. So who else is upgrading then?

What is this thing called "real life?" Is that some sort of expansion pack?
Already did!! My build, AMD thuban 6 core at 3.2GHZ, Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 MB, 8 Gig patriot extreme viper ram, GTX 460 Video Card, 120GB Crucial SSD, 1 TB HD, LG blu ray drive, Corsair Obsidian Case. Its not an amazing rig but I built it for under a thousand bucks and Itll sure aas heck run D3 at max settings!!
all i did was overclock my AMD phenom II X2 555 3.2 Ghz into a phenom II X4 B55 3.8 Ghz and bought a GTX 550 ti 1 GB runs flawlessly at 1920 x 1080 all maxed dunno why ppl keep referring to buying a gtx 580 or 590 its complete overkill but i guess it depends on ppls preferences for other future games
I am as well, but I'm going all out (well actually about 85% out).
Just ordered a Dell Ultrasharp 30" Monitor, pretty excited for it to get here wednesday so I can see the beta at 2560x1600.
On the 12th I plan to order my new pc.
Asus Rampage Formula x79 or z68 equivalent
Intel i7-3820 or 3930k or I might go with a 2700k - still mulling it over
Cooler Master Cosmos II Case
Corsair H100 Cpu Cooler
2 EVGA GTX 570 2560MB in SLI
16 gb of DDR 1600, either gskill or corsair
850 watt PSU, either coolermaster or corsair
With the current sandy bridge processors being such beats, sandy bridge-e just coming out, and Ivy Bridge on the horizon it's a hard time to make a decision.

Little overkill don't you think?

I am going to be building my first gaming computer ever for Diablo III, nothing crazy, got about a $700 budget. I already have my graphics card so thats not included in the cost, HD Radeon 5770 1gig. Might by a second one down the road and run the two together. This will be the first time I have built a computer from scratch so alittle nervous, don't want to mess it up or make a dumb choice on the internal parts.
But crazy excited to play DIII and get this computer up and going!

Compeletly for D3, I'm also a graphic artist an also play other games that are pretty demanding, like BF3. So it won't just be for show. Plus I haven't upgraded in a while, still using a i7 920 system i built in 2009 with a gtx 280, so im pretty behind the curve.
Also in all honesty, I'm having a "Go Big or Go Home/Spend too much money" kind of month already (ha just realized its only the 4th...), so im just gonna roll with it

Hm, I see now. The one im getting apparently plays BF3, though I have my doubts about that. If it did it would be on low. The only PC games i will play are Blizzard games and maybe The Witcher games.

I am. Won't be able to afford until May though ;(. Kind of the reason I'm hoping for a May release even though it's becoming evident it will be next month O;. Will have to tough it out on this crappy thing until then.
