I just tried out the beta and I have to say - I'm stunned by the game's gameplay, looks and overall feel! Every hero has a unique feel to him - bashing enemies with the Barb and trying to follow their flying corpses is fun and let's you feel the power or quickly shooting a couple of headshots with the Demon Hunter just to see that more skeletons have spawned and are ready to be shot at!
What I'm trying to say is that I had a blast - and this was just 2 hours of playtime! I didn't get why people complain about the difficulty - if you were following the story normally (without being level 13 with full yellows) then you would get into difficult situations from time to time. Nor do I think that the graphics are outdated. They are VERY smooth and "modern" looking.
I know that it's easier to say, but the people that didn't get a chance at the Beta yet should not be too sad about it - the game's coming out soon anyways and there's not really that much in-game to do. If you've seen all those D3 gameplay comentaries on Youtube, then you're good to go for launch!
In my opinion Diablo 3 has raised the bar of the Hack 'n Slash genre one more time! So let's keep our fingers crossed that Jay is gonna surprise us in the upcoming week!

No- you would not die... ever on normal if difficulty does not progress. you can practically run some classes armor naked with just a weapon for killing.

I'm not saying if it's easy or hard, but this is just not true. My first playthtough with each class was untwinked, and I NEVER got under 75/80 % HP since I started playing the beta. I don't even know how it is possible to die in the beta.
My wife died ONCE out of all her play throughs. She is a non gamer/ Diablo noob... and she let herself get surrounded during the jar of souls and got all panicky (and froze up) when i started telling her she was gonna die and needed to drink a pot.
Don't get me wrong - I didn't die myself either... But if you think about it - the beta is such a small portion of what's to come :/ Some of the champions do hit for more and you aren't able to do two hit 'em! This is why I think it's all good! Gotta see how everything goes till the end of Normal and from then on they say it's supposed to get much harder!

If you play your defensive skills right champions and elites will not be a problem.
Its just like as i was teaching my wife... when the grotesques come close (before the damage is negligible) you stun/freeze them ... kill and run away before they explode.
Dying may not be common in the Beta but near deaths will happen especially to unseasoned Diablo players which is more often then people think but Blizzard knows. I find those near deaths more exciting, knowing that you had accomplished your goal but one mistake could have ended your life adds a thrill to the game. Its when you think it is too easy (like the Beta) and just rush in with a god like mentality is when the shit hits the fan.
I would like an actually taste of the Beta but with it being so close and a lot of contest winding down (2nd wave of opt in going out not being a possibility) I am fated to wait for release.
Used to be arcane enchanted mobs could instakill you in the beta when they spit out the arcane hydras. Even with the purple lazors they still got a few people at first. Weren't those moved up in level so you wouldn't encounter them in the beta?

Later on arcane shouldn't be an issue... Wait until you get a few resistance points or a high enough dodge...
Ive also been blown away by beta, it makes me very excited for release. Characters are fun and unique, the skill runes are fun, the destrucibles that blow up when you use AoE make you feel awesome, lots of detail and polish, love the random dungeons/quests. I havent come close to dying but I guess thats expected of the first 13 levels. The UI doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would, the only thing I dislike is its hard to swap two skills on your bar.

This game will be awesome.
