This is my theoretical slacker normal mode WD build. Summons to do most of the work with just a few spells to spam yourself oom and then you can tab out to check websites while your mana regens.
This is a barbarian build for softcore Hell. It is probably too novel to hold out in Inferno. It will be at least duo'd with a Monk to aid in Fury generation but it is focused on not needing Fury generating skills. Instead, it relies on runes and passives for Fury.
I like playing games with pets..so this gives me some of the main pet spells as well as some basic attack abilities that I have set up to give additional mana.
since Ive yet to play the game I have no clue weather this build is any good or not, but I figure the turret was a safe bet for covering you and more of the build is about keeping mobs from over whelming you.
Since I don't know what kind of build will be viable at the Inferno difficulty, and since Blizzard keeps saying how we'll all die as soon as we set one foot in, I tried to get a few good attacks, with huge heals, defense and extra movement.
my build is based on short cooldown cc/survival abilities and lots of ways to generate arcane power allowing me to blow up entire packs of mobs in seconds
Most annoying Witch Doctor to end up in a party with.
Not a single targetable spell, massive amounts of pets that look like the enemy, explosions and a never ending supply of toads hotkeyed right to the mouse click. Yep, you DO NOT want to group with this guy.
It's my SOMBRERO LOCO WD Build. Calibrated purely for battlefield chaos and user laziness.
Toads (runed to cost no mana as my primary attack/ troll spam)
Autoseeking Firebats
Extra zombie dogs (runed to look like something you should attack)
Extra large fetish army (even more things to try and attack)
Mass Confusion
Sacrifice
and no other defense spells or means of healing, meaning I WILL die, and you probably won't rez me.
My Witch Doctor build is mainly created to try something different, and come up with some sort of a theme build. It is a Spirit build that focuses entirely around life generation and life gain. Main attacks are Haunt and Spirit Barrage with Soul Harvest as damage booster and instant heal (due to the siphon rune). Grasp of the Dead and Mass Confuse are the designated CC skills, while Spirit Walk will give the Witch Doctor a means to escape. Every single skill/rune combination in this build has but one thing in mind: survival.
Hi this is my Barbarian solo PvE build: http://us.battle.net...USej!ZYS!aZZbYZ
Build is about to try inflict much dmg as possible while enemy distracted by chaos made by follower alongside
with Talic Korlic and Madawc. What can i do ?! I just love big crit numbers!
Bash (Instigation) - basic atk /fury generator Hummer of the Ancients (Smash) - gr8 semi aoe with improved crit % Overpower (killing spree) - AoE wich i pick due low cooldown and high damage aswell as crit % War Cry (Invigorate) - one buff wich combines two classic shouts from Diablo 2 Battle Rage (Marauder's Rage) - sweet buff wich simly should not be ignored Call of the Ancients (Duty of the Caln) - one barbarian is good but four are better ! (as long as possible)
It's a Barbarian build focused at killing a lot of enemies at a rapid pace, while at the same time healing the player enough that he can continue the slaughter. I don't expect this build to hold very long past normal, but up until then I will likely use a variant of this build to punish the forces of hell in the most brutal way possible.
BUILD: (Click the build to open Blizzard calculator)
About the build:
* Active Skills Ray of Frost (Cold Blood) Since none of the signature spells have a "frosty" behavior, Ray of Frost ruined with Cold Blood costs nothing to cast, making it a perfect "regeneration" spell to use while out of AP.
Hydra (Frost Hydra) Hydra as seen on the latest Blizzard videos seem very powerful, regardless of being nerfed to only one Hydra up at a time. The idea is to add to your overall damage. Since targets are slowed \ rooted from Comet \ Ray of Frost \ Frost Nova, The Hydra will do maximum damage since it most likely will always hit the target.
Frost Nova (Bone Chill) Is crucial to the build. Not only for the 15% bonus damage, but for having enough time for Comet to strike the target.
Meteor (Comet) The big damage dealer of this build, also, leaves a mist that damages and slows targets by 60% which is more then enough to get away and deal damage from a safe place.
Diamond Skin (Crystal Shell) This is more then an "Oh ****" button. This spell is activated right after you blink into the fray and gather the mobs. 3 seconds of absorption should be more then enough time \ damage absorbed for you to get out unharmed \ above 80% HP.
Teleport (Reversal) The most important skill in this build, which allows it to be so epic. Blink into combat, then teleport back to the place you were before!
* Passive Skills Black Ice Essential for the build, a no brainer passive, since targets will always be chilled \ frozen.
Glass Cannon This build revolves around NOT getting hit, by slowing and rooting your enemies. The bonus damage is important.
Astral Presence Since we have no Signature spell with "Attunement", nor Prodigy passive, we will rely on a different type of regeneration for our AP.
* Playstyle After we've set the ground, it's time to play and slay demons! So how does this build work?
AoE, Group fights, masses of minions Teleport in, use Diamond Skin and start collecting enemies ASAP. after a solid amount of mobs have gathered up, Frost nova, Comet, teleport back (via reversal), Target the middle of the mob you've collected, and use Hydra (since it cannot be hit, and it fires very fast), then start spamming Ray of Frost in order to regain your AP for the next battle!
Single Target Aprox the same rotation, just more moving around and more precise aiming with meteor, while kiting the mob around the Hydra.
* Pros and Cons of the build + Very strong AoE damage output. + Good group utility, slowing down enemies \ rooting them. + Strong survivability. + No melee mob will ever hit you if executed correctly.
- Will have a bit of trouble with Ranged mobs. to negate this, you can gather the mobs ON the ranged ones, so it will hit the melee and the ranged mobs together. - No instant cast spells. Though it can't be much of an issue, since targets are very slow anyway, leaving you time to damage them, or you can count your Hydra as an "instant cast" spell that just keeps firing regardless. - Not sure about "Immunity" mobs, like in Diablo 2, but if thats an issue, can always re-rune the skills for Fire (Hydra, Comet, and change Ray of Frost to Disintegrate)
* Customizing \ More options I didn't play this build yet so I cannot know how well the energy manages. But if I see that I have excess of energy, which can happen easily via better gear, I can re-rune Ray of Frost to a more devastating attack.
There is a variety of defensive skills that can be used instead of Diamond Skin. Ice Armor for those of you who dislike Cooldown skills, or just that skill in particular. Slow Time, Mirror Image, etc.
Hope you enjoyed my post, and good luck to everyone who's participating! See you in sanctuary! :3 Tom.
Barbarian as glass cannon, focused on dishing out most single target damage and power himself up while doing that. And some auximilary aoe damage is appended as well. Survival is for the weak
Good Mobility and defensive moves, have mainly 2 dmg skills and a lot of support skills.
functionality:
If all of this works as I imagine.
My magic missile will be guided.
When it hit's he'll slow down enemies.
I'll have 2 mirror images slowing enemy (important part: if they cast magic missile, and their dmg count as mine, doesn't matter if it's a low dmg, they will generate arcane power and slow enemy's for me)
When i teleport i'll create another 2 mirror images (which a imagine will work like my original mirror images)
I have another defensive move which is that time area, which slow down enemies missiles and moves if they try to get to me.
I have 3 skills which cd are about 10-20sec, so it's good to lower their cd is 15%.
And mainly!!!
With all those slows and defensive, i'll have a huge dmg skill that will be arcane torrent!
I don't know if all will work as planned, but if it works, this build will be a huge against melles, and good against ranged duels.
And will be protective if in an arena they aim on me, but don't ignore me, or you will be in danger, against my full power arcane torrent.
Build name: Wizard AOE build http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#QSjRbm!YgX!acaZYc
Its a PVE Wizard build.
Considerable quantity АОЕ of damage + almost all increasing damages of ability. Also very good protective ability - the Teleport with rune on survival rate.
After an exit of game I will test all variants and I will find the best
Mostly for sustaining damage and survival theoretically. Need to test the effectiveness of the build when playing the game. Hope to have the good luck to get a beta key for a test run.
My intent with this build is for PvE survival against large groups of monsters.
Frenzy is the main fury generator for single target attacks, where i gain ~12% of my health back when a monster dies. Cleave picks up for the AoE aspect of fury generation!!!
Whirlwind addes to the AoE capabilities of this build as well as Earthquake!
I have also opted to select reduction in cooldowns for most of the skills as a means of providing unlimited, sustained, AoE capabilities with health generation
I think that this build will do pretty well. It tries to be a balance between dealing damage, arcane power regen and utility. I doubt that it will be perfect, but I look forward to toying with it
Designed this build around the harder level difficulties with having a monk with some healing abilities partnered with me as well. This barbarian "tank" build is heavy on +armor and self heals from damage done.
This is my theoretical slacker normal mode WD build. Summons to do most of the work with just a few spells to spam yourself oom and then you can tab out to check websites while your mana regens.

My contribution to this. Not really focused on the late game, but hopefully will carry me a bit of the way to 60. Lots of aoe, and even more aoe.
