For the sake of boredom, and maybe to give another topic for those trying to grab Beta keys, I pose a question for y'all. Which do you think will become available first? Will it be the long anticipated Diablo 3, which is resistant to release dates, or will it be World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandara Beta, which a few of us may have grabbed with the annual pass. So which do y'all think?
Personally, I'm going with MoP Beta, although it will be close, they will probably both come out in the second quarter of 2012, but that's just speculation.
If thet push MoP back until Q1 of next year, they had better expect a massive drop in subscribers. Over a year with the same raid, and three heroics as end game will be the end of it for a lot of people. They lost me after 6 months of Zandalari heroics.
Unless are files on Diablo are wiped out, and they have to start all over D3 will be out before MOP. I figure they will get D3 released and then start focusing on MOP. MOP prob won't be out till Nov or later, but if Blizz stands by their 6 month beta period that should be pretty soon. Wish there had been some guaranteed beta invite deal like they did for MOP beta, but do you really wanna be tied to WOW for a year....
Not sure which will be first, and while I understand Blizzard has three different teams working on three different games, we know that Blizzcon was canceled so work could be accomplished. I would expect something to be released in March or April (D3 most likely). Blizzard will release again in late summer/early fall (MoP Beta and Heart of the Swarm) and finish up the year with a Hoilday release of MoP. That's my story and I am sticking to it.
I speculate an april beta for MoP, followed by an early-may D3 release.
Even if they don't seem to learn from their supposed "mistakes", I strongly speculate that Blizzard won't hold an F&F Alpha due to how the previous one hurt Cataclysm.
Furthermore, from what they had shown in Blizzcon and how far they have progressed with talent trees, it is highly likely that they had combined internal and F&F alpha altogether into a complete internal process.
This may seem hard to digest for some, but this is the 4th expansion of WoW that is in-line withTBC and WotLK, that of which they are experienced with.
Hence, the they high probably have standardized their production progress and optimized it to a degree that it will take bit more than half the previous expansion's development times.
This is pretty much likely as except the pet battles and PvE scenarios(Which probably will be 5.1 content), there's nothing conceptually new for this expansion from a design perspective.
However, even though it is almost in progress for almost 6 years now, D3 except its storywriting is a new IP, hence, it is expected for beta to run as long as 3-6 months.
Furthermore, MoP beta would not be a reason to postpone D3 to as further as december, as it is a beta(Even though some are rather too juvenile to project it as an "early game access") and has no reason to stand out to be a roadblock for D3's release. as both are two completely different games.
I think everyone is hoping for diablo 3, and I am as well. Iam on a hiatus with WoW right now, it hasn't really been fun to me in a while. I do agree tht they will probably come out within a month or so of each other. I almost hope the MoP beta comes first, because with D3 out why would I ever want to test it?

You heard it here first, sports fans.
