I have been searching the forums for a while and though I have not posted much myself I do see a lot of angry and/or frustrated people out there about the last minute changes to the game and delaying the game to Q2 2012. I want to back blizzard up here for just a minute and state that they are doing this for our best interest and I know there is a reason behind all the chaos even though it may not be apparent at first glance. I am confident in blizzard just as everyone else should be. Yes, I know it does suck having to wait a little longer but it will be worth it. If anything we should be apologizing to Blizzard for giving them more heat then they even deserved in the first place.
You have to keep in mind the type of company Blizzard is. They strive for perfection and they are not going to just release a game half-finished like some other companies just because they have a deadline to hit and the proof is in their previous games. I mean, look at Starcraft or in this case Diablo. These games are over 10-years and a huge amount of people are still playing them and that is exactly what they are aiming for. We are not going to see another diablo game and if we do it will be 10-years from when D3 hits. So I say, just kick back relax, grab a beer and if your under 21 grab a root beer because before we know it we will be slaying demons left and right and back on the hunt for the most epic gear.
I have to agree with you. Blizzard knows what they are up against in pleasing the Diablo community, and it's a very large community at that. All these last minute changes and number crunchings are too our advantage.
I agree with you guys for the most part... one thing that aggravates me is the closed beta. There are other forums and scams involving people renting or selling access to their beta for a lot of money... idk who would fall prey to this bs but the point is; that blizzard has created a system through which people are exploiting their fans. I think it would be smarter to do a larger more open beta... early preorder = beta access, rotate beta access, send out wayyy more invites, more contests. The servers have to support the huge number of people at launch anyway might as well get them through any issues early on. There obviously are people that ravenously desire to get into the beta and with the hype and delays its not surprising.
Blizzard doesn't have to frustrate their fans, I understand that they want to put out a quality product and I'll wait, but its bs that people have exhausted the beta and are renting their accounts while some die hard fan is clamoring through these fan site contests desperate for a chance to play. Let more people in blizzard, release some of the pressure!
I also agree blizz has been any the top for years they have high expectations for them selves as we do as players it will be worth it in the end. I'm just excited to get a chance to play I've waited years for this game so what's another few months. I have complete faith and confidence in blizz in what they do.

agreed, Just wish everyone had that same thought processes. Hence the original post

I completely agree with the exploitation, if only we could gain access to the beta :/
I have to agree. I personally feel no anger or frustration towards Blizzard. I'm super anxious and on the edge of my seat for any Diablo news or updates, but I'm not about to get tense and take it out on Blizzard. They are the class of video game makers and so I do not doubt them.
Nah, don't give Blizzard a break. They announced the game 3 years ago and ALREADY have a lot of people's money for a game they haven't released yet. You can argue that they don't have the money from the normal and CE preorders yet, but they do legally have a right to the 1 year WoW deal money that's rolling in.
Stop acting like Blizzard owes us anything, just because they say they enjoy making great games. Stop acting like we should give them a break, just because you don't think they owe us anything based on us being emotional fans. Blizzard isn't the same Blizzard anymore. You should start acting like they owe you something, just because you have thrown money at them. It's a business thing now, not a passion thing.
I'll say it once and I'll say it again. If Diablo 3 isn't that great, I just won't buy Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void, Mists of Panderia, and probably not even their new MMO if it comes out. I've given them plenty of money over the years, but that was because their games had insane replay value. Not anymore. If you want to hit them where it hurts, just stop buying their games. That's all there is to it. Why should I spend another $40-60 just to see how Kerrigan's life is going? There are much better games to be played.

Some people tell me I'm going to hell. I just let them know that I've already packed my bags!
Well if you ask me its better that they actually spend time making this game as good as posseble before releasing it. Its kind of a blizzard thing. If they release a game that got several flaws and bugs it wont be as populare as it could've been.

I kind of agree with this. Blizzard isnt blizzard anymore, and to be honest, blizzzard didnt even create the first diablo, they bought the company making it, and put there name on it, and called it blizzard north. Still diablo 2 was thier game and it was better. As for the money thing, buisness is buisness whether is passion behind the product or not. Ive been in buisness, and just because you love what your doing , doesnt mean you shouldnt get paid for it, whether your a multimillion dollar company or not. What i think people are upset about is the game isnt out yet, not the changes. Have any of you EVER tried to make your own game? Its Fooking hard, and balance is everything when it comes to online games, making sure people dont exploit and cheat is blizzards top priority imo. I could wait another year or two if that means that diablo 3 wont turn into diablo 2 like it is now, and if you have played diablo 2 recently, then you know what im talking about.
I see a lot of the points you guys are making but all in all when it comes down to it. They are really trying to make this game as perfect as they can which I appreciate it.
The bottom line is that the diablo community is full of neards with no life at all. All they have to do is wait on they're ass all day long and complain about the game. Go outside, make a girl friend have kids and be productive for the sake of society. GET A LIFE!

Lol dude. I get where coming from. I wish people had more patience and less anger issues. Also, not get mad about every little thing blizzard does.
As Jay Wilson said somewhere, I remember it don't you worry! maybe ill paraphrase it! "when the game comes out they'll remember how good it is/was rather than how long it took to be released"

I do have a life thank you very much! I like to balance that and gaming (which doesn't work out too well when university starts back up again )

Well lets not compare it to that now :-P but it does kinda get on my nerves how some people can be so unreasonable.
