My first class will be the female Monk, followed by a Wizard. The assasin in D2 was kind of a letdown in terms of her MA tree, and her melee was never really anything to be excited about (unless of course you built WW sin for pvp). I'm hoping to see a lot of flashy things from the Monk, she/he just seems to fit my play style.
It's A toss up for me really on one hand i want to be a Witch doctor Because some of there spells remind me of the necromancer from Diablo 2 and i just like the dark theme they currently have. On the other hand the monk and all of there Mantra's and great melee techniques make them really nice to have in group situations.
Barb all the way here. The reasoning behind this is that alot of things have been changed with this character. The abilitys they have, how there moves look, everything about a barb looks amazing.
I just want a character that i can go around smashing zombies and other demons in the face and enjoy every minute of it and the barb fulfills this.
Demon Hunter = I loved bowazonz and assasins seemed like the ideal fit. Witch Doctor next as i loved necromancer after them. Ill try monk 3rd probably as his fast striking attacks look awesome!!!
At first i wanted to play a Demon hunter becuase I like ranged classes and kiting mobs around, etc. But after watching the Monk playthrough on youtube. I'm in love. I wasn't too impressed with some of the Demon Hunters skills, like caltrops and evasive fire always bumping into walls, plus the Hatred/Dicipline resource seems a little clunky ATM. However, high level multishot and strife may change my thoughts on the BH.
As for the Monk, all of his abilities look awesome and chaining combos together end game seems like it's going to add a lot of depth to the monks playstyle and really allow a skilled player seperate himself from the norm.
Definitely has to be a Bard, i played warrior in D1 and Barb in D2 more than any other class. Not to mention i'll be playing with at least 10 of my good buddies from WoW. So ideally i'll be able to make a nice tanky sword and board Barbarian to tank for my friends in Inferno. Of course this could end up being totally crap when i actually get to that point =P, in which case gunna be a maul barb!
Ill be playing Barb just like in D2, my room mate is going to be a demon hunter and my friend and his wife are going to be a monk and sorc, and im not quite sold on the witch doctor, reminds me too much of the druid in D2, but time will tell if i change what ill be or not lol.
I'll be a Demon Hunter from start to Finish. Without playing I see as a semi cross breed from two characters from D2, but very different ofcourse. I have always been a fan of the ranged characters. Also it intrigues me to see that, so far, most videos have stated that the demon hunters are the least power compared to their other toons up to level 13. I enjoy a good challenge and steam rolling through a game does not sound fun.
After that, probably a witch doctor or which every class is gimp at that time.
Im going to start of with a Monk I belive, as of why though. I dont really know.
Seems to me like it could be fun class to play based on what I've seen on youtube and such.~ ^^
I'm really torn. My cousin always goes with a Mage/Sorc/Wiz, so I need to go melee to be effective with him. I want to go Monk because it makes the most sense (good AoE, buffs, tanking), but I'm really drawn to Barb and all the new AoE attacks. And the DH might end up being my favorite, considering how much I loved the Assassin with throwing stars and Death Sentry from D2. And I know I'm gonna love WD and Wiz. I guess it doesn't matter what I choose - I'm gonna love it!!
First class for me is definitely going to be a....
Well at first I was settled on barb. Now all the classes look so gd fun I can't decide. I'll probably default back to the barb though just to bash enemies across the screen as often as possible, and because he was my first pick before. The class I am actually least interested in right now is the monk. His mobility is cool but I'd rather play a mobile stealth class (when there is none), and before that I like my classic casters, melee berserkers and tanks, and rangers.
I might pick up the Barbarian coz of the higher HP and ability to dish out damaged up-close. I really suck playing with the ranged characters but nothing of it can be said at this point of time. Though I have a feeling WD might turn out to be a good choice too mainly coz of the zombie dogs.
Was deciding between monk and barb but definitely has to be barb. I can't get away from swords and the barbarian's skills just look too good to pass up.
I love the Voodoo Juju of the witchdoctor. They have one of the most terrifying aspects of the diablo universe as one of their spells. The ability to fight with the Fetish people is plain awsome.
I'll definitely start with a Wizard and a Witch Doctor. Sorc was my favorite class from D2, and my main in WoW is a Mage, so I'm going to keep the fire burning (literally) with the Wizard. The Witch Doctor just looks too cool to pass up though, so I'm gonna try leveling both concurrently until I cap them or my brain explodes.

i would choose my own religion and worship my own spirit, but if he ever preached to me i wouldn't want to hear it. i'd drop him, a forgotten god, languishing in shame; and then if i hit stormy seas, i'd have myself to blame.
Since i enjoy melee the most it will be a barbarian or monk for sure. While barbarian seems to be the obvious choice, the female monk seems really cool. Guess a lot may still change before release. As for hardcore i will deffinatly want to play a range class though, with a lot of crowd control. Probably the witch doctor.
I am going to roll a Demon Hunter from the very get go. Ever since the announcement of the Demon Hunter at Blizzcon 2010 I have been delighted with the unique attributes of the class. The play style seems really fun: a swift, agile, deadly—fatal assassin with a touch of sexiness. What's not to like?
The Demon Hunter is my first pick as stated above in myself-quote.
For my second play through I will roll Barbarian. It was a hard decision between the Wizard class and the Barbarian, but at the end the Barbarian prevailed. A really wise turtle named Oogway once said, “Your mind is like this water, my friend. When it gets agitated, it becomes difficult to see. But if you allow it to settle, the answer becomes clear." Therefore I let my mind settle—thought things through, and without any rush I arrived at a peaceful conclusion. I knew I wanted to play a melee class because my main class was a range: the Demon Hunter. Because I craved a melee class and the fact that Two-Handed Barbarians are just faceroll, the answer was crystal cleared.

“Being skilled isn’t all that’s it’s made out to be. When you’re strong, you become arrogant and withdrawn. Even if what you sought after was your dream” –Itachi Uchiha
I'm a bit of a melee purist, so I was leaning towards giving the barb a try. I was always a zealadin in d2; loved to furiously hack and slash:) However, I recently I decided my first toon was going to be the wizard. The dazzling spell visuals, and huge array of unique abilities makes this a clear choice for me. I've also played as the glass cannon in mmos and other action rpg titles, there's just something about complete annihilation I find very appealing, lol.
I will go with Monk as my first choice. Barb will be my second choice. The reason why I will go with the Monk as my first choice or primary character is because I like the idea of being able to provide group utility to my team. If my friends aren't online, I can solo my way through content. I enjoy having that flexibility. I also enjoyed the pally in D2 and in World of Warcraft so it speaks to me.
As for my second choice, being the Barb just provides such a "jump in the fight and melt some face" that I have enjoyed in other games. Something about stripping out all the management of mana or spills and just use hand to hand combat to crush the enemies.
