I'm just looking to try out all the classes, pretty sure I know what class I'll play first though. I want to check out the auction house even if it's just with beta bucks. Plus I'm pretty bored so that'd give me something to do after work.
I want to play the game for multiple reasons, the simple one being that it's extremely entertaining. I love Diablo. I feel as if this game and Guild Wars 2 will have the potential to entertain my gaming soul for many years to come. Also, who doesn't love to make new friends on, not only Diablo, but any game at all. One of the best experiences to have is making bunches of friends to go play the game in, and maybe even establishing a "guild"
I played diablo 2 for years and it was part of the reason I still game today. I haven't been selected for beta yet but I have been fallowing the forums posts closely. I cant wait for diablo 3 to come out, it is going to be so fun! I want to test all the classes and really see what it is like. They keep pushing back the release date and I am itching to get back to my diablo roots
I want to play beta for a couple of reasons!
I played Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 and Lord of Destruction, and I loved them! I still have LoD installed on my computer, but haven't really logged on since the last ladder reset.
I'm so excited, as I'm sure everyone else is, about Diablo 3 coming out. I'm interested in seeing how the game looks and feels.
Honestly, I'm just looking for a new game to get into. I have been waiting for D3 for a long time and I have loved D2.
I currently play a lot of the major titles (LoL, COD, WoW) and I am starting to get bored of them. Everytime I have picked up D2 or new A-RPG, I generally can't help myself. So, I guess one reason I'd like to play the beta is just to simply do something on my 'bored' time between playing the current games I own.
I also like testing, so there's that aspect as well. My reports on bugs and issues is usually thorough and I would love an opportunity to fix as much as I can, even though I know that the amount that I have access to is incredibly limited; it's still something.
I've been dying for Diablo 3 for years now and i just want to try it. Not to mention i want to get a feel for each class before the game is released...what if i hate monk my first char would be wasted! I also want to see if all of my computers can play it. Me and my brother both want the game but i am not sure if our "Other" computer can handle diablo, it is quite outdated lol.
I want to play the Beta because ive played diablo 1 and 2 and expo's and i would hate for a few things to get over looked in the new diablo 3. I know the lore and ect. but i mostly prefer gameplay (since thats why we're all here anyway) If the lore is abit off ok like 2 ppl might be a lil raged. If the game play is off noones going to play. I dont care about getting the game early as much as i would like to help in the development via my comments on current items, quests, ect.
The reason I would like to play the beta is to get my head around the game, the interface and the way things work before retail comes out. Would love to see how it runs on my new laptop too
Why do *I* want to play the beta? Hmm. . . personally I've discovered playing a game beta isn't at all what you intend to believe it is before you get invited to try it out. However, Diablo is a whole other chapter in my life. I've grown up playing this RPG, and I'm sure I could play this beta over and over again without getting tired of it. The Diablo atmosphere boggles my mind, and I'm excited to see what they do in terms of lore and how far they push its boundaries.
That being said, I wouldn't at all be dispirited if I didn't get the chance to participate in the Diablo:3 beta. Frankly I've been waiting for this game long before it's existence was ever announced, and I refused to believe the rumors it would never be developed and created after Blizzard North went down. The end to this long wait is on the horizon friends.
Why do I want the beta? Why else, to get a chance to play the game that Blizzard is baiting our breath with. To have even a taste of the glory that is Diablo 3 would be like winning the lottery to me, because at this point I've lost all faith that I will ever get in.
I would love to play beta because, for once I would like to be part of the select few who get to experience content before everyone else. Its like an exclusive club which I am never invited to. Also it would just make me that much more amped and excited for Diablo III. To be able to play Diablo III has become more of an obsession than a blessing now.
I want to play the beta because I own every Blizzard game and have played them. The Diablo franchise is my favorite out of all of them. I also went to Blizzcon in 2009 because I knew that Diablo 3 was going to be on the floor. I was also hoping that they would give out beta keys at that time like they had for every Blizzcon previously. I have already purchased the collectors edition of Diablo 3 and the 1 year subscription of World of Warcraft for the game. I have played Blizzard games since Diablo 1 and Warcraft and have been hooked ever sense. So to make a long story short I would like to play the beta to see just how great the game is going to be. NOT IF THE GAME IS GOING TO BE GREAT BUT HOW GREAT IT IS!
I could say all sorts of stuff on this topic. I could tell you about how I have been playing Diablo since day 1. I might share stories about my knack for finding bugs/exploits in any game I play. Perhaps I could cite previous experience in other Beta tests. I could pledge to find all kinds of issues and report them to help Blizzard get the polishing done. Maybe I could convince you that my purposes for wanting to play Beta are entirely selfless, intendting only to help in any way I can...
but the truth is, like most everyone else, I just want to get any competitive edge I can before the game is released.
My reasons for wanting to play are in line to what Sexton stated earlier, it's a quick fix to stave off the burning desire to get the real thing.
Another reason is to end the recent internal debate of playing a WD or Wiz first. You can only absorb so much information via forums, wikis and videos before you finally need to get a hands on to decide which one "feels" like a best fit.
I'd like to get my hands on the beta for the most obvious reasons. Ive played Diablo since its baby days on Play Station, infact, it was one of the most played games I owned back then. I even spent countless hours playing Diablo Two and now I long for Diablo Three. Even its just the beta, I want to sink my teeth into it and get a taste of what it has to offer. I already know the game is going to be epic, but the sooner I get it the better.
Personally, id like to play the beta to give myself a little idea of how the game is going. Id also like to be able to find all the bugs and things like that to help improve the game, and perhaps while doing that throw in a few suggestions of what id like to see or what I think can improve or add on to what the game already has.
I want to play the beta because i've always been there for Blizzard's games. As a little kid I played Rock n' roll racers with my brother, and I remember when he got diablo for his birthday (Wasn't a Warcraft fan for some reason), and i've been hooked on blizzard's games ever since. I don't believe I deserve it any more than anyone else, it would just be nice after spending thousands of dollars playing their games I might actually be worth a small iota in part of helping bring out that game.
I want to play the beta because I want to feel what it's like to play the game. All I'm looking for is that feeling. That sweet, sweet rush that comes with hearing the music and sound effects, seeing the beautful new graphics on max settings, and connecting on a zombies head with your level 1 short sword.
this question is an easy one to answer.
the main reason is becasue i grew up with diablo, even if it's not as great as the past games, ill buy the game and play it.
I've seen so much game footage that it makes me itch and want to play the beta.
From when Beta started i've finished D1 with all characters and finished all classes in all difficulties in D2 and i just want to play D3.
I've purposely not watched too much beta footage yet. I'm waiting for that moment when I play myself and get to have a clean palette. Growing up with D2 has made me overwhelmingly excited for what's next from one of the best developers out there.

It's so close I can taste it.
. . . but seriously, I'd like a key.
