I would like a beta key to see for myself if they have stayed true to the diablo series and its fans. Also to test out which class I would like to play first.
Well, I quit WoW since our guild pretty much disbanded. Now I have nothing to play that I like, but I'm really looking forward to D3! I spend all my free time watching D3 Beta play-throughs Wish I could play it too >.< With all these contests going on, maybe I'll get lucky
Im hungry. Like so freakin starved that I feel like I could eat an elephant. Someone offers me a ticket to an awesome all you can eat buffet but the catch is that I can only use the salad bar. Of course Id want it.
I want to play the beta because Diablo II was my favorite Pc game right next to Starcraft and I have been eagerly awaiting the next installment for years now! I also need to determine which class I am going to roll first which I would like to experience via the beta but I have yet to get a key :[. Hopefully some luck will shine on me soon and I will get a chance to play this amazing looking game
I want to play because I live in South Africa, where internet is slow and expensive. I want to be sure that my current connection can handle D3 before release, so that I have time to upgrade it if needed. These upgrades take around a month here, so if I install and realise its no good, well, then I am not playing d3 until a month after release :(.

But in all seriousness, I just want to play it sate my appetite until release. I've been playing through D2 again, but it's just making the anticipation for D3 that much worse.
The beta would give me a chance to try out the classes that don't really appeal to me (Wizard and Witch Doctor). I'd like to see if I could enjoy playing those, without feeling like it's taking time I could have spend on another character.
When I was in the Diablo 2 beta, I made the mistake of playing the barbarian which I also planned to play first after launch. I only found out how much I could enjoy playing the amazon, which didn't appeal to me straight away, months later.
The big reason I want to get into Beta is so I can get a feel of which class I'd rather level first. Right now I'm torn between the Demon Hunter, Monk, and Wizard. I'd like to at least figure out which class to start with so I can begin the monumental task of figuring out what sort of build I'd like to run with. Having a chance to get used to the UI and layout of the game would be nice too since it is a bit different than D2.
But, my wife is pregnant and we are getting a baby in the next few months, so I want to use my free time with beta, because I am sure it will not be enough time to play then
Also, with Beta, the time of baby born will come sooner.
Why? To check overall look and feel, make a comparison to d2 and cause I wanna test the demonhunter!!!
And ofcourse because I can't wait any longer for this game
The reason I want to play the beta is to get first hand experience of the game.
I would like to get a chance to try out the classes and decide what class I want to play when the game first releases. Tho I have seen some footage of the beta already, I'd say its something very different to play it yourselfs. And ofc, I've been a fan of the earlier Diablo games, so I have really been looking forward to Diablo 3 since it was first announced.
I want to play the beta, because blizzard = crack and I need my fix. If blizzard sold beta keys, I would totally buy one. It's scary how addictive a game can be. I'm predicting D3 will beat all sales records.
I want to play simply because I spent 8 years scouring and searching the internet for any nibble, rumour or possible hint that D3 *may* have actually been in development. Then, once it was finally officially announced, I had to wait another 4 damn years anyway...
First of all i want to play the BETA because i want to try D3! But i would also like to go on a bug hunt and see if i can find any glitches etc Also it would be awesome to call my friends and tell them i got into the BETA, they would freak out!
Should say that this is a fairly straight forward question for anyone.
We wanna play because it's fun.
Personally I really wanna play because of the lore. Afraid there won't be any bugs left at this point for us to find, but if so I would like to help Blizzard.
But just wanna experience the game and it would also be a good way to check if my computer can take the game at full details ^^
I've done many beta's to try out the game while looking for bugs. If you happen to find a bug and let the developers know about it does make you feel a little better about yourself as you are contributing to making the game better. I always wondered if they got tired of seeing e-mails from me after sending in so many bugs/glitches on games like Ultima Online or Star Wars.
But that's what a Alpha/Beta/Delta is for to crunch the bugs, to make the release more enjoyable for others. My worst experience and often thought of as a failure on my part was SEED MMO. Game was full of bugs that either crashed the game or just made it unplayable for missions. I sent e-mail begging them not to release yet till they fixed them, but investors were in power so they ha\s\d to listen to them; I'm not even sure if it lasted a week.
Well for me i would like to test the game to make sure it will run properly on my machine. Also i would like to have a chance to test the classes and all the systems that are available to test with the chance to report bugs. Hoping that the more people that beta test and report issues that it will push blizz to fix any problems and get the full game to us as soon as they possibly can!

Because we needs it precious, yes, precious!
Stupid, fat, tricksy Blizzard hobbitses hates us, doesn't gives us beta key, precious!
