Will get straight to the point: imo this weeks DH challenge rift is unbeatable, except for only a few top tier players (in group) maybe-
Now I don't wanna be that Illuminati guy, but: after this one it is clear to me that some high level players are making under-geared GRs with the intention to make then super hard to complete.
Therefore I humbly ask: is there a way to test these challenge rifts before release, run them a few times maybe.
Because it is very frustrating to fail over and over again, taking the fun out of the game- especially in early season when you need those materials.
PS:: a blue post about these crazy hard challenges would be gladly appreciated, thank you in advance.
Please share your thoughts, tactics, and I wish all the best of luck.
This is a super fun situation, because people have always been saying that the top of the leaderboards is just "cheating", "has more paragon", "better gear", "better gems", and whatever. But now everyone can show if they can truly compete with the top dogs. It's gonna be fun to see how manages to best Wudijo's clear.
Also keep in mind that Wudijo only had one try - he had to strategically plan when to "spawn" certain pylons, he didn't know what was on the next level (or even next screen), and so on.
Unfortunately I can't play right now but I really wish I could compete in this (though I know I'd have zero chance). Good luck everyone!
FYI, Wudijo himself have a few tipps on Reddit, see here:
"Being neglected"? This is the 36th challenge rift and the first one where the chosen clear is really one of the top clears. This was a request by the community for a long time ("make challenge rifts really challenging"). I think realizing an idea brought forward by the community is the opposite of "neglecting". But that's just me
Lucky EU players. We ended up with another handout one on NA. Logged on to EU server because I wanted to try it, and it says I need to clear a solo GR to unlock challenge rifts, lol.

also: turning one minor request for one minor sub-feature in one mediocre feature of a dead game in maintenance mode isn't a prime example for "we listen!!1". it is more or less one lucky catch, extremely hard for most people from what i've heard.

Had to go through the same to unlock challenge rifts in NA+Asia for me. Do the following: go into a "boost" or "powerlevel" community. Ask for Malthael quest (to unlock adventure mode) and boost to 70. Then all you need to do is a GR1 (and maybe before that one normal rift for a key if the RG died after you hit 70). Altogether takes 10-15 minutes at most, and then you'll be able to do the challenge rifts in other regions.
i like it, i didnt yet manage to finish it, but what I think is really frustrating, that if you manage to get use to the build and pylon locations and all that stuff, you still need crit luck on boss to finish it in time. i think this is kind of ridiculous.
wudijo is a complete dh nerd, but I give him that that really he did that one on the first try, which is kinda beyond me right now
one thing is for sure, it's actually the first time I will clear this CR for the sake of the challenge and NOT for the mats, cus obviously it's easier to do bounties in that regard...
He died during the Conduit and needed almost 4 rotation for the boss, so potentially there's even quite some time gain possible - although obviously he got an insane streak of awesome crits on the first 5-10 packs or so. And... he's just an amazing player who regularly gets #1 on Challenge Rifts and conquests and everything else that is purely skill-related. But it might help some people, when I saw the time at first I was like "how is this possible?"
I also finished it today in 6:30ish. But to be fair I tried it alot. It's a really difficult challenge.
Also it should be obvious that first you need to get used to the build, which 1) is not everyones taste and 2) is pretty difficult to get into. At least when you wanna be efficient, which you need to be in this CR.
Compared to wudijos original run I think it's better to grab the shield and immediately go the lower pathway in the battlefields. There are 4 elites pretty close with alot of density as well. It's really one big chunk of progress you can make during this period, especially with shield (since I think it's very difficult to survive the battlefields mobtype without it)

Yes, that rift is beyond hard, it is probably the first real "challenge" rift.
It will be impossible to complete for most of us, even in a group.
The rift was done by wudijo, it was his clear for the "The Thrill" conquest.

yes, its totally retarded and not completeable. no reward this week

Just FYI: The current top clear by bunkka is available as VOD on his Twitch:
