We're currently in the process of preparing the next beta patch for release and wanted to provide all beta testers with a heads-up that a character wipe will be included. Please note that, as with previous character wipes, this wipe will also affect gold, items, followers, and artisans.
We're hoping to release beta patch 10 before the weekend (potentially as soon as tomorrow evening), but we don't yet have a precise ETA. We'll provide more information as it becomes available, and patch notes will be posted once the patch is live.
Thanks for your continued feedback and testing!
What were you going to use that work for anyway :o?
It'll all be gone soon enough.
I'm excited, I hope this patch brings at least some new things for us beta players to discover and share, even if it's minor it's at least something. I haven't played much lately since I've done the current stuff over and over again, but this gets my blood pumping for.. well, demon blood!
@Molster: It's dangerous to say such things here. Only those who have actually played will understand you
Maybe they will put in level 1 skill runes temporarily. Maybe skill runes will drop from Act 1. Perhaps that is a change that the development team has made.

I highly doubt this since it kinda goes against the soft learning curve that Blizzard always strives for. I mean they even removed the second spell at level 1 so you only start with one now.
Also they wouldn't throw something in just temporarily for the beta as they have already said many times that they have in-house testers running the additional content and that's not what the beta is for. It's not like runestones are super hard to test. It's mainly just balancing the numbers.
Molster made a post about it based on the blue
Character wipe and patch 10 coming before week-end. Maybe even tomorrow night.
They didn't lie! As soon as Jay article will be up, it will be followed quickly by the patch that implements it
Blue post!

They have said before that beta content won't be extended so I'm gonna call it now:
Nope, won't happen.

But you can always hope ;).
