So, been looking around this site for a fair while.
Also been struggling to break past GR65 solo.
What i'm wondering is there a bare bones / beginners guide / or even a specific guide that outlines the basic requirements to achieve GR70+ Solo.
By this I mean is there a guide that outlines -
Must have "X" Ancient items
Must have "X" augmented ancient items with lvl 50 gems
Noob friendly build - *insert link*
or anything out there that may exsist like this?, just curious as i'm having a real hard time and i don't know where i am going wrong. Have tried with monk, dh, mage, barb. yes i may be shit that's all good and all but i'm willing to learn so any help would be awesome and appreciated.
What people usually do wrong is to ignore damage reduction and just stack damage, make sure you're using a few defensive items and skills in your build. There's almost always a legendary that gives you a huge bonus to damage reduction combined with set bonus reduction. Loads of builds also has other ways to not taking damage, like Stun skills.
Bane of the trapped would be better than stricken on the DH. The main problem I see is that neither of those builds is very strong compared to whats possible. Though considering your gear, 70 should be doable. If you still can't do it, try a stronger build from the video below.
Pick one of the top 3 and go for it in seasons. You will be amazed at how much stronger they are then what you have been using. I prefer vyr/rasha wiz myself. I normally complete a 70 solo in the first 12 hours of a season, so its a very achievable goal.
Well, if I remember correctly, UE DH is one of the easiest builds to play. Your DH looks like you should be able to do 70 with a few tweaks:
Reroll your amulet to have a socket so you get the third legendary gem. Note that this is a decently rolled amulet but it lacks a special power (like Hellfire or Etlich).
Level and use the relevant gems for the build (Trapped, Zei's, Stricken). Though you may get away with Powerful instead of Zei's.
For your toughness you could reroll your bow from attack speed into a massive vit roll.
Use emeralds instead of diamonds in your gear.
Some rolls are clearly not optimal, maybe you pay too much attention to the tooltip info regarding dps and toughness. They lie. Attack speed for example gives monstrous amounts of sheet dps though its actual influence is often close to zero for you're interested in damage per shot or damage per resource spent.
Maybe you find some more pointers if you compare your char to my DH named Donna. Haven't played her for a long time, but that used to be the cookie cutter build.
edit: Regarding gameplay, you have to pay attention to your Focus and Restraint buffs. Keep both active at all times. Put Convention of Elements in the cube and pay attention to its fire buff as well. Move around and herd mobs during the other elements and go ham during red. Give your Templar the Oculus Ring.
- Head: you haven't rerolled it right? rerol the vit to multishot-dmg
- Shoulders: get new ones with Cooldown
- Belt: Witching is a big dmg increase, but also a big defense decrease since you loose all-res + %life for atkspeed and critdmg
I would also reroll the all-res to vitality, 485k Life isn't that much ( i always aim ~700k) and 630+ vitality is more dmg reduction as the 125 allres in your case (this depend on gear ofc). YOu can also switch to the Hunter's wrath for a bit more resource generation (affix) and the mentioned defense stats
- Pants: they're okay, but look out for new ones without a single res so you can roll all-res on them
- Boots: also okay, though the movespeed is better to get from paragon. Try to get new ones with all-res and multishot dmg
Quiver: you need cooldown on them for perma vengeance (see below)
Barcers: Vitality instead of life regen would be nice
Amulet: reroll the %fire to a socket and use the bane of the trapped in it. That's way more damage increase as the %fire. A crafted Hellfire would be better fo a 5th passive though.
Rings: get one ring with dex+crit+critdmg, and one with dex+crit/critdmg+ cooldown roll (or eevn better one with crit/critdmg/cdr)
- Gloves, Chest, Weapon: good
- Gems: the all-res gems aren't bad, but the ue-demonhunter is a glass-cannon, so i doubt it will help you to survive more than 2 range hits from a spearman. Dex-Gems increase your damage so this spearman is probably dead before he can shoot at you
-Legendary gems: as mentioned above, use bane of the trapped (with thrill of the hunt passive) and Zei's stone of vengeance. Third stone can be either bane of the powerful (if you can keep the buff up) or bane of the stricken (mostly used in GR75+) for the Riftguardian
- You need ~35% CDR for permanent vengeance, which is achieved by Shoulders (8%), Quiver (8%) Diamond in Helm (12.5%) and one additional slot (most likely a ring)
- Cube: Switch cindercoat for Visage of gunes for a permanent dmg reduction (if you have the 35% cdr), use the oculus on your follower and use convention of elements for the big dmg increase with fire
Skill: veneance - darkheart to seethe (when you have cubed gunes and have permanent vengence)
Passive: tactical advantage -> thrill of the hunt (to procc the trapped gem), blood vengeace -> awareness (if you want to)
so still needs some improvement but non the less, swapped shoulders for some with CDR, got a hellfire amulet and swapped bane of the striken to BOTT, put zei in the helmet and swapped convention to elusive .... made a tonne of difference i was able to survive long enough to complete GR70, how ever i wasn't able to kill the guardian as quick. either way
thank you all!!!!! i just need to find something to add more damage

if u use elusive + coe combo, chg ur armor in cube with vibe of gune then use rune on vengeance which alow u to recover hatred :3
