How would you know which person to look up if names are not unique?
I wasn't sure how they were going about doing names. I know in the beta one person could have one name for all their characters but I wasn't sure if that was just for the beta. Anything can change! But that is one thing I was wondering, if names weren't unique, if they would find a way to look people up anyway.
They've said they want to implement that I'm almost certain. I'd expect to see it being tested at some point in the beta maybe.
I hope so! I wasn't sure if anything had been said about it, but I think it would be a nice thing to have. I'm surprised no one at Blizzcon asked about it, but then again they didn't have many good questions anyway.

It's gonna be easy because it's not the name that is unique, it's the number that gets attached to it in your online profile. Just like in SC2.
Oh right I forgot to comment on that. Yeah basically when you're playing SC2 all you'll see is for example "Daemaro" but when someone searches for me it has a number attached to it as well. So you'll probably search for their number and then it'll bring up the "Daemaro" page.
Ah, I see. I'm not familiar with Starcraft at all so I had no idea they did things that way. That's good news then, now they have no excuse not to have an armory for Diablo III!

How do you know what the number is though? I have not tried to search for anyone in sc2.

One is never hurt by being given additional choices, only by taking them away. A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!
This was asked at one of the panel's during Blizzcon 2011. Essentially it is a feature they would like to implement but no web presence is planned at launch.
I'm not sure if anything has ever been said about this, I could have missed it, it's something I've wondered though.

Ha. Bagstone.
A fun thing to note though, you can already inspect other people on the beta to look at their gear and skills.
