I know a lot of people play to try to make their single hero the best they absolutely can, squeezing out every single ounce of power. That's not me. I prefer to play 3-ish toons at around a GR60-ish level and push them up just while having fun. I've never even cubed a Caledon's Despair.
This past season, I came to the conclusion that what I really need to do for my first character is make a speed farmer to work up the mats, the DB's, and fast Rifts/GR's for blood shards. Trying to gear up a character without being able to run GR's (still working on set, supporting items, etc.) has been a frustrating experience. After some preliminary Googling, Monkey King Monk and Firebird Wiz seem to be the top suggestions for speed farming, but I'm wondering about Shadow Mantle DH mostly because that was my first Haedrig's set and it was fun. I know that Crusaders have pretty boss speed farm builds, but there would be a TON of extra-curriculars to get that gear together.
I've never played Monkey King in its 6-piece form, I've played a Demoman Firebird back when you needed to use 3 skills to burn mobs. Advice?
Shadow set will a great starter set for DH and has the ability to speed farm when u incorporate the vault belt. Later once the pieces are obtained, UE Danetta's Grenades will be off the charts for speeding.
the SWK (Monkey King) set is very fast if you do the Way of Light build with the Insence Torch weapon.. you NEED the weapon and the belt that keeps sweeping wind stacks up to make this a "speed" build. For someone that has not played WoL monk you need to keep a eye on those sweeping wind stacks at all times, because if they drop, so does your damage.. I do not like LTK SWK as the area of effect is not enough to make it a speed build in my mind.
Have to agree with above statement UE DH is so quick in all map types, I would put it in the #1 spot.. but a WOL monk is a good choice.

Wow, this build looks like it will be insanely fun to play... Thanks for all of the advice guys! Hopefully a few people come in and play each of your build recommendations.
Spin to win isnt back ): charge barb is still nr 1 yeah whirlwind is better then it was but not for ladder
there is a 96 gr sub 10 min clear on softcore and a 91 on hardcore on ptr, its at the very least equal in gr potential, maybe even higher with the right rift

Its very fun. Once the season goes live, I imagine you will see it in use. Here is a link to the T13 Rift I just ran.

Personally, I think the crusader set is great for speed farming. Jump on that pony to speed through rifts while you elite farm.
