An announcemnt OF the Release date surely can't overshadow masses of information of the new WoW panda's surely. I mean its a release date, not the actual release people are still going to go "omg omg omg a realy fucking date for Diablo 3, coooolll, *log onto wow*"

Guys, I just had this strange feeling when seeing this thread.
Like imagine you haven't visited this forum, ever, and you don't know anything about Diablo III. You're an intelligent alien life form or something. And then you see this thread and you learn that people have made 2285 posts speculating about when the release date for a game will be announced. Wouldn't that be weird? And more importantly, would this change your intentions to invade Earth?
If I was a highly intelligent alien I would disguise myself as an enormously popular gaming development company and create games in which people could live another life in order to lull them into a slaughterable medium. Within this other life the earthlings could play as such things as people, blue people, blue people without proper dental care, green people, dead people, cow people (coincidental since I plan on slaughtering them like cattle), people with auricle disfigurement, and yes two different brands of short people. Because who doesn't love vertical challenges?

Hi i were thinking about some stuff about release, How do i get the game before it goes online at night i mean i dont wanna run the chance about ordering the game and then it comes two days after? can you buy the game some days before it goes online or how does that work? i think many got the same question _____________________________________________________________________________

I have the CE preordered.
If I can play right at midnight eastern, I'll wait to go pick up my CE untill I need to go for a drive to wake my self up - reset for more playing (proly about noon) and instead, use my wow pass download to start playing right away!
If I have to wait untill 3AM eastern, then I may as well go grab the CE at midnight from the store.
really, i doubt it will be worldwide release on the very hour
servers would explode, having the time differnces gives the servers a chance lets traffic build up over time, not 20million people logging in one go or 20 million logging in over the space of two hours
but im probably wrong, once the date is announced i shall ask my local gamestop

I'd be willing to bet a good chunk of the people that plan to buy have not pre ordered yet because there isn't a release date yet. I even thought of cancelling mine a month or so back for the extra $100 then redoing it when a date was announced.

See I ordered mine from Amazon and they don't charge your card until they ship. They even give charge you a lower price if the price turns out to be lower at launch than what they had on the website. And if the price is higher at launch, they honer the price the quoted.
rofl......... the most anticipated game of ALL TIME isnt going to sell 3m on release day when over half that already have pre-ordered/annual pass bought it? thats rich. id bet every penny i own that after they announce the release date they will already have over 5m between the annual pass and pre-orders before the game even launches. now i dont see it breaking activisions last game Call of duty sales, 9.5million in the first 24 hours. but i have no doubt it will reach over 20 million worldwide in the first few months.

Over a decade ago Diablo 2 sold over 1 million copies in less than two weeks. This was with far less hype, and dozens of fan sites like we have here. Diablo 3 will surely sell 1 million copies before the weekend not including annual pass.
