I have this really annoying issue while i'm using cyclone strike or crippling wave I always get teleported to a mob away from my group because of epiphany. Then I immediately end up casting inner sanctuary far from everyone which usually leads to them dying. I've tried different methods to stay in place such as pointing my cursor at the wall but it doesn't work. Does anyone know a solution?
just click / (attack) mobs in the spot beside your dps , so you not teleport by clicking on mobs standing far from your party, your are the one who cause teleport its not a problem ,chose where to click.
Wow thank you I can't believe I never thought that the problem was my key bindings. That's a huge help i've been using cw as my left click and cyclone strike as right this whole time like a dumb*** lol. Thought it would be easier to play with those skills on my mouse but I guess thats the reason why I get teleported all the time.
You need to basically click on yourself. If there are mobs near you that port or charge, for example morlus or anarchs, be careful. If you get ported, move back to the initial spot with FORCE MOVE, preferably put it on your mouse wheel. Then put your next sanc when you have moved back to the spot whre your dps is. The secret is force move and not spamming everything all the time, but doing things deliberately. Comes with more practice.
yeah I was just wondering if there is a way to prevent yourself from porting but i guess not. I actually have plenty of hours playing zmonk I've played it the last 3 seasons but I recently started getting really frustrated with always getting ported away. I'm 1200 paragon this season so far so I'm not exactly new to zmonk.
Ok, so you are playing zmonk for 3 seasons and still have not managed the basic gameplay and now the idea has come to you that maybe you could think about changing something. Interesting approach.
And that is because the third hit of crippling wave applies the palm through the uliana 2 piece bonus and its range is bigger than the range of the first two hits. You can get ported to a random mob in that range that gets the palm applied on for the first time.

You clearly have never played zmonk so why bother commenting with useless info that does not solve the problem? I never had this problem in earlier seasons but it started to really become apparent this season. Luckily we have cnpltgnckptn who actually posts helpful info that is saying its because of uliana 2 piece. The only reason for me making this thread was to find out if anyone knows how to PREVENT the auto teleport function of this build.
I would recommend turning off monster health bar numbers. The problem I had for a while was if a large monster would move near my cursor, I would just have to adjust my mouse position off of that large monster. Sometimes I put my mouse off of the game (windowed fullscreeen) onto my 2nd screen.
It almost sounds like you're num lock/macro'ing the sanc which will definitely get you in trouble if that happens. I stopped the auto cast fo those situations.

Lol, dude, thanks for trying, but I have cleared 110 in 4- man last season as zmonk and 104 in 2-man non-season, which is definetely much harder to play as zmonk than 4-man. You are talking about absolutely basic sh it here, the advanced stuff isn't even on your radar as it seems. You never even specified your setup, of course Uliana 2 piece ports you more. By the way, I gave the explanation why it does that, but you probably didn't read that.
And to answer your question, which has now been specified to a degree where it is answerable: no, there is no way to prevent the autoport of Uliana 2-piece in some situations, when you have moving mobs or a certain distribution of monster hitbox-sizes around you. Now, have fun practicing.

have no idea how cyclone strike could be a problem in this case.
always hold SHIFT when your group are fighting.
and to prevent your generator from teleporting you - just move mouse inside walls or places with no mobs
What about epi is left click, cw is right

after switching up my keys it actually didn't solve the problem lol. I guess ill just try and not be so fast to put down sanc incase i get teleported

I know how to play.I can still same place but I am telling when you wear Uliana set "mouse on walls" doesn't work.
