I can't recall what blizzard has said..Will we get transitional Cinematics between every act like D2, or more In Game Quality Cinematics like SC2(Which I was really disappointed about, but the main cinematics they had were amazing and should of done more)
For some odd reason the Diablo 3 engine is far inferior to the StarCraft 2 engine, so please, no ingame cinematics. I haven't heard anything on the topic, but the movie they played during Blizzcons was obviously cut out from at least 3-4 separate cinematics. Here's hoping for one for each act.
I can't see them doing more than 1 per act plus the intro movie, which they already released. In one of the documentaries, Blizzard said pre-generated cinematics are really expensive to do, millions of dollars each. It takes them about a year per cinematic with a whole team working on it. Ingame cinematics are a drop in the bucket by comparison.

I do remember them saying this... but nothing compares to blizzard cinematics, I still remember being in awe over the end of Act 2 :).
Also they haven't released the intro movie yet, the teaser trailer is something different than the intro cinematic they haven't shown to the public yet.
Indeed. I remember from the words of a Blue that the intro cinematic is going to be mindblowing. The star falling and a massive battle between angles and demons (?) erupting. We've not seen any of that.
The Demon Hunter cinematic on the other hand was made completely for promotional purposes. Not that it was top notch Blizz style but... whatever. It was still something to hang on to and not go insane. Perhaps, just perhaps though... They might release cinematic intros for the other classes? Very, very doubtful. Like 5% chance.

For SC2, the intro movie (when you start up the game the first time) was the same as the reveal trailer. Maybe the D3 intro movie will be new. That would be cool, but I don't expect it. One of WC3's trailers turned out to be the intro movie. When the same thing happened with SC2, I assume it will be like this for all future Blizzard (non-WoW) releases. Companies (like Blizzard) are always looking at ways to cut costs (especially Activision).
Ha. Bagstone.
