Remember all those rumors a long time ago about Diablo III and Heaven Vs Hell? Curious to know what it looked like back then? Well here you go. Aren't you glad they scrapped it now?
First, I like the old and the new. I would of liked to have the old back in '05 and be expecting Diablo 4 here in a few months, but you know how that goes.
Second, are there any mods that can merge all the '05 v '11 Diablo 3 threads together?
Dayum, a potion belt, ridiculous angles (wtf sidescroller diablo?) flat color pallet. SOOOO glad north went and made that terrible torchlight game. Jay W fanboi right hurr.

Potion belt, because Diablo 2 had none of that. Adjustable angles, because options are bad. Flat color pallet, because looking at one act is enough to make that judgement, just like the rainbow controversy.
Yea, I don't see anything in your post that isn't in another Diablo game or hasn't been complained about the current Diablo 3.
New one looks better and isnt a MMO.
New one wins!!
Just a quick offtopic jab to those who want an MMO diablo.
How do we deal with randomness? Make JUST the dungeons you enter random, and like instances from wow?
What about the outside world. Do all the monsters walking outside get multiplied by 45k for the amount of people? Or do you leave them weak, and therefore the best to farm with friends, making dungeons obsolete. OR do you make them not drop good loot, making the outside world obsolete and no one would want to be outside a dungeon since it's worthless.
Yea that's right. Make me an argument why MMO is good.
On topic : Agree with Link, would have played the balls out of this one in 2005, if the game being made today was diablo 4 =D But I'm really glad it's the way it is now. This diablo is just so much better in every aspect.

Eight players is an MMO? So...Diablo 2 is an MMO!
Anyway, I'm leaving this thread before pull my hair out. >.> <.< >.>
Link, watcha talking about willis? I'm merely stating how bad that game would have been compared to todays game. Um yea, D2 had a potion belt as does this 2005 D3, and both options are terrible. I think potion spamming in general is a bad game design. Also, that's not act 1 bud, But I can guarantee you the same flat color pallet would have been used the entire game. adjustable angles? Look how bad that looks! don't give me this options BS.

Alright, now put yourself in the frame of mind you had back in '05. Potions are not the best idea, obviously it would be nice if you had skills where you could heal yourself or other such things, but considering we don't know the skill set, we cannot say one way or the other and have to assume that the use of potions was the way of keeping health, ala D2 that I would assume most of the members played the hell out of.
As for the color pallet, I personally hated the color pallet of A2, it was all tan and ugly. But that's one act, and you cannot judge an entire game off one scene. That's all I am saying about one act. I don't like the bright white either, but I cannot judge it because I don't know other scenes. Just like I cannot judge the rainbows in Diablo 3 because I hadn't seen all the scenes in Diablo 3.
Now about the adjustable angles, considering there are multiple angles I can only assume that you can change the angle to your preference. I would have it angled at a top down angle akin to D1 and D2, others may not want it in that angle. But I am glad that we would have the options to choose what we would like. Options mean that they are catering to us and not vice versa, making us play the way they want us to. (Hope that made sense. Lol.)
Edit: I am not responding, because these threads make me want to kill babies. If you really want to continue talking about this, PM me. x.x

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
It also depends on the game itself. If the gameplay is terribad, it won't be worth playing.
That was... weird xD
