Apologies if this has already been posted, but I thought this video was pretty neat. It shows an encounter created by the procedural generation of the game. It gives the player a short quest for the encounter too. Not too hard for normal, but I can only imagine what it must be like on Inferno difficulty. This kind of stuff is very encouraging for the replay value of D3
Do you mean because you might be suprissed with a high level mob appearing from nowhere?
If so, I don't think that will be the case. I have seen this a couple of times and it seems like you need to in some way initiate the quest, as it is a randow side-quest... not just a random event.
I love the stuff like this, its going to make each time you do an area that much more fun, and I have to agree with bash, you now have a big reason to search the whole area, even after you found the "correct" way. Love it.
Is there any unique monsters there? Like in Diablo 2, there was a dungeon with no quest relevance, just an EXP gain, then with a loot chest+unique semi-boss monster.

There's several of these encounters that have a chance of being generated, and some actually included a named monster. Otherwise there are also Super Unique monsters generated in the dungeons too (they have a yellow title when you mouse over them). Seems like champion monsters also made a comeback with blue colored titles and they also seem to have those special attributes like, Molten, Electrified, etc

Yea, definitely feel overtuned for easymode. And notice the encounter quest says stay alive for 60 seconds, so you could get the reward if you just kited them around for that long.

Thanks! I think I'm going to spend ages combing through EVERY dungeon in this game, and take my time. The storyline must be savoured and enjoyed.
Certainly a cool new mini quest. I'm sure there will be plenty of this type of content in D3. I bet you we'll have had retail for a year and the game will still be surprising us!
