I'm certainly worried about not being able to play Diablo 3 when it comes out on beta or especially when it comes out for release, I can't afford alot of parts right now and since that's a problem I don't even know if i'll be able to enjoy Diablo 3 with my system since I can barely run Starcraft II on low without some lagg.
Anyone else feel the same way about having a crappy computer & worried about not being able to play because of that?
Honestly if are having trouble running SC2 on low settings, I would start saving for a graphics card, you have a long time to save. It doesn't need to be a $400+ card, or even a $100+ card.
Come the time you're ready to upgrade your graphics card (which I high suggest you do to get the most of of the game) check out Tom's Hardware Best Graphics Card for your Money (Month) article for that month, and choose the best card for your budget. I would also use the site for any other upgrades you see fit, such as CPU.
Soon after the Beta hits we'll surely have a recommended specs page up, where you can decide what parts of your PC is worth upgrading. I'm pretty sure Diablo draws most from your GPU, unlike WoW which draws most from your CPU. So a cheap-ish upgrade yo your GPU (as long as the rest of your PC parts can handle it) should have you playing D3 smoothly.

I'm going to go ahead and guess Wizard > DH > Barb > Monk > WD, purely for fastest runs while farmin inferno. I have yet to see a lot of video that shows the monk pwnin face, instead it seems he has a hard time but i'll have to wait till beta to decide that.

Pure speculation here, but my guess is that the footage we've seen of the monk was intended to show off his combo moves. I think it might have been intentional, having him slow and not all that powerful (unlike the others). Look at the Beta B-roll, for example. A lot of people thought he seemed too weak, but can you imagine how confusing it would have been if everything died on screen on top of the combo moves being shown?
We'd be stuck with a major case of "Wait, what's that he just did with the flashy-wooshies that made 3 goatmen explode?" The combo system is going to provide awesome gameplay, but it doesn't carry well to video. Doing some guesswork around the team's character design philosophy, I think that at the end of the day, the monk will dish out just as much - if not more - damage as the other classes.
Since he's one of the two melee-oriented characters, but isn't designed to be as tough as the barbarian (as far as we know), I believe Sir Beardy will get to kick some serious tail.
TLDR version : MONK GO BOOM! probably.
Also : Monk > WD > Wiz > Barb > DH

My Wizard build inspired by Mario Kart items 3 Green Shells / Bananas / Red shell / Lightning Bolt / Fake Item Box / Blue Shell
I'm not worried about D3; I'm worried about Skyrim. I'm fully confident that I can run D3 excessively well, but I may need to upgrade my comp if I want to run Skyrim to the same caliber.
And my take: Barb > Wizard > Monk > DH > WD

I guess after the beta we'll have a better picture about HW requirements.
Grafic card will probably be the most important item.
Tom's hw is a really good website and you can find lot of info.
edit: Oh, I almost forgot: WD -> DH -> Wizard -> Monk -> Barb
If this game is stressful on a somewhat modern system then it is a complete fail on Blizz's coding team. There are so many static assets taking up the screen that the dynamic stuff that has to be rendered should not be pushing hardware very hard at all ... assuming their implementations are optimized.
If you can barely run SC2, then you'll probably have issues with this game, methinks.
Yeah but Windows 7 is pretty decent, it's no Vista, so XP is no longer viable. Drivers are starting to expire, not to mention DX11 and such.... I installed vista once and immediately went back to XP, however now Windows 7 is basically your only option.
Game will be GPU-heavy I believe. SSD's won't help that much considering how much data is server-side, though of course it will help certain loading times. Not sure right now how much the CPU will play a factor. Don't see quad or hexa-core CPUs being all that great, they haven't even optimized dual core yet. It's all about high clock speeds, so even the i3's should do well.
I'm mostly worried about my graphics card. I have a Macbook that I bought two years ago. It has an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB card. I was able to run the Starcraft II Beta on it fine, though. I'm really hoping that I can get a shot at the D3 beta to make sure the game works on my laptop before I buy it.

Monk > Wizard > Barbarian > Demon Hunter > Witch Doctor

EDIT: Btw, Barb FTW

If this was 4 years ago maybe, but I would be able to play it, just not right when it came out.
Oh and DH > Barb > Wiz > WD > Monk
Witch Doctor > Demon Hunter > Monk > Wizard > Barbarian

On the other hand... Monk > Witch Doctor > Barb > Wizard > Demon Hunter.
And the correct order is Demon Hunter>Amazon>Terran>Monk>Wizard>Barb>Protoss>WitchDoctor>Zerg.
2. Barb/Wd
