its 2016 and still we dont see anything post-diablo3.
i have 1000+ gameplay hours and i am really, REALLY bored of it now. despite all those new patches, diablo3 still feels wierd/wrong to me. every friend of mine has the same thpughts as me: we want a new proper diablo game.
d3 did sell well, soooo whats wrong? i dont get it. why blizzard doesnt care about diablo universe?
im just really angry. sorry to take your time, but i had to get this out of my chest. i dont want to wait another 10+ years.
Maybe you should just look for another game. People get tired of games, eventually. Nothing wrong with that. Playing the game despite it being boring seems unhealthy^^
I remember in the good ol' days when single player games were the way to go. They didn't get updates or new content, you bought them, played and abandoned them. We were still happy.
As said, it would surprise me if they didn't announce anything at GamesCom or BlizzCon.
I have +4500 hours and im not bored..So listen to what ppl said w8 for camescom and blizzcon and we will see
lol thats cus you really need to change your life goals bro. haha, you are a few of a breed who sit trying to build an ass house and then realize your ass has no hands.......
We said the same thing last year. And the year before that.....
Keep getting let down. At this point with Overwatch, and the eSports direction Blizz is taking, I doubt there is much of a future for D3 or Diablo in general unless they can find a way to make it more competitive. But based on the fact they couldn't figure out PvP for D3, that prob. won't happen.
If they are going to announce anything, I see them doing it at Gamescon with much more emphasis in Blizzcon.
I still think it would be really cool to do a game for a major platform that has a mobile-app tied to it. You can already play hearthstone on your phone and there area lot of mobile ARPGs already. I'm a little surprised that Blizzard hasn't done more to tap into that market.

In years past it was unwarrented speculation that lead to dissapointment.
Last year at Blizzcon 2015 they said and I qoute "Do not worry Diablo fans, sorry we did not have much in the way of Diablo this year, but Blizzcon 2016 is going to be Diablo's Blizzcon."
Pair that statement with them inviting people such as Quin69 to Gamescon, and I feel we are getting a reveal at Gamescon with tons of follow up details at Blizzcon.
For that I am certain, but to what I do not know. Maybe Xpac 2, maybe Diablo 4, or maybe something else Diablo. We will have to wait and see, only 7 weeks until gamescon roughly.

Do you have a source on both those claims?

it's obvious, but they will announce a new expansion most likely. so diablo will get some new maps, some changes, but it will still spit at the spirit of the genre and will lack innovation and potential to grow. but there are so many people crawling in blizzards a** it will not matter. they are blind how bad this game is actually.
new maps and some changes won't cut it. We need a new class or even 2. We need a new feature that is as impactful as rifts where to RoS.
Best thing would actualy just be diablo 4. Pref with a monthly sub fee to ensure content going forwards.
The bottom line is that they would not be trying to waste resources on this game if they did not have plans for the series in the near future.
Haterz going to hate but common sense in the business industry is just that, common sense. If you have a product you do not care about, you do not spend resources on it at all, you completely pull the plug.
They'll announce D4 in 2016, with powerful graphics, new physics engine, more monsters, new mechanics, the return of necromancer and finally a new spellcaster class that works.
The cutscenes will be something to lose your breath for. The gameplay videos will be amazing. The dungeons will be dark, full of horrors. There will be blood, terror, and difficult gameplay.
You'll be able to trade items with your buddies, and even buy and sell materials. The craft system will be improved and meaningful, since they learned everything that was done wrong with D3.
Unfortunately the game will suffer some minor delays during development, and Blizzard will release D4 in 2026. It'll cost USD 149,99, but hey, you'll get a DRM-online-only game that'll be updated and rebalanced everytime needed, and you can trust Blizzard to rebalance stuff, since they always did it correctly with D3, right ? Right ?
FML. I only liked to play this game with Wizards, and they screwed my class so badly since RoS that all I can think about them right now is rant.
IIRC, recently there were listings on the Blizzard careers site for "An unannounced Diablo Title", or some such.
So that could mean any number of things. The only thing it DOESN'T mean, is that Blizzard doesn't love Diablo anymore.
Does Blizzard not love Diablo 3 specifically anymore? Perhaps. But the Diablo franchise will continue for many more years, be it Diablo 3 xpac, Diablo 4, or whatever.

When you take a look at some of these titles, I feel we are looking at two projects and not one.
Time again will tell, but I feel we are going to see Diablo 3 xpac 2 in which they use some stuff already planned, as well as some things they were holding for D4.
Why use stuff planned for D4? Because ARPG's need to take another revolutionary step, they need to become much much more than they are, and if rumors are true, D4 has been in the works for 2-3 years already (this is the normal path Blizz takes, working on unannounced titles right when the known title is coming out).
I expect to hear about D3 Xpac 2 at Gamescom 2016, and then we get a ton of details about it at Blizzcon, with a short whisper of the future, which is actually their side project taking the ARPG in another revolutionary direction.

Looking at the titles it seems like there is a new project and they separately just happen to need a graphics software engineer because one quit or something.
Despite the hate D3 always gets (and I was there at launch too, I get it) D3 today is SUCH a better game than on release, even if it does get old from time to time. I'm super bored with the past few seasons too because of so few changes, but I do think they're busy working on something else and so aren't paying much attention to D3 live.
I like the idea that they're working on a way to take ARPGs in a revolutionary new direction. Will they do it? Who knows, but Blizzard have been consistent at updating multiple genres for new generations over their history, so there's a fair chance.
Also let us not forget that despite the endless D3 sucks complaints, it's one of THE best selling PC games of all time (not sure on console sales?) Listed behind only Minecraft and WoW. That sort of selling power is something other companies would kill for: you don't abandon a franchise that has done that well. Personally, I can't wait until Gamescon when they announce the new game: Diablo Twister mobile app that allows you to use your phone as a camera and tap to make it look like you're creating energy twisters in real corners of the world.

Your post says "diablo" not diablo 3. One is lacking love(actually more like planning and listening before launch), guess which one....
