1. How was the set items problem solved? (it has probably already been revealed but I can't remember so perhaps someone here could enlighten me? :-) )
2. Are the corpses of monsters still going to disappear after a time or has the system been changed?
3. How many types of salvageable materials will there be? Will the type of item (shoes, belt, armor, staff) determine the materials you can get, or only will it be only by the rarity of the item?
4. How can the level cap of skills be increased? How can skills be respecced?
5. Many D2 quests had very litte to no reward attached to them (e.g. The Summoner/Arcane Sanctuary, Betrayal of Harrogath, Tainted Sun) Will quests give a decent experience reward together with the other item/progress/skillpoint based rewards? Will it be one or the other? Or are experience rewards completely out of the question?

A soft answer turneth away wrath. Once wrath is looking the other way, shoot it in the head!
1. Can the developers give any type of indication approximately how much the Magic Find will go up when in a Multiplayer game?
I would assume it would be a modest gain for one player and bigger gains as you add more players up to 4 max. Has anyone heard or have an idea of how much the Magic Find will increase when playing co-op multiplayer?
I think it would make sense for the Magic Find to go up in co-op multiplayer so that if me and my buddies are online playing Diablo 3 that we would want to jump into a game together no matter what to mutually increase our Magic Find.
1 how many keys will be given out?
2 how will you approach not spoiling the story in the beta, or how much of it will we see
3 is the beta still planned to last for roughly 6 months
4 (if they are talking storyline) how have the areas of diablo 2 changed when going into diablo 3
5 how open will the game be, can you wonder around sanctuary at will something like that
thx for reading this, i hope some get answered! have fun at the conference!
Do you aim to make Diablo 3 an eSport game with regular tournaments(small and big) like StarCraft series ?
No they dont.

If you want to arrange it
This world you can change it
If we could somehow make this
Christmas thing last
By helping a neighbor
Or even a stranger
And to know who needs help
You need only just ask
I'm thinking before or around the same time as Heart of the Swarm. I'd be happy if Blizz answered half of these questions (excluding the ones that are common knowledge).
1. Guild/Clan Support - I would like to know if there will be any type of clan/guild support in the game or bnet 2.0. See if you can squeeze out any information reguarding any type of guild/clan support. If so, will it support an in-game ranking system? I know this was asked, but it's very important for many people to know.
2. Realms - Will there be multiple realms such as east/west/europe/etc. to choose from like in Diablo 2?
1: How will set items be handled? What type of rarity will they be classified, as far as drop reward rarity is concerned? Will there be set bonuses? Will they add a new and unique visual effect if an entire set is equipped similar to Diablo 2? Can we expect multiple tiers of set items as there was in Diablo 2?
2: Legendaries are to have a unique graphic for each of them, separating them even further from tier graphics. Will Legendaries be considered the blue chip items of Diablo 3 based on their statistics or can we expect some novelty Legendaries as well? Can we expect to see a sample Legendary before launch?
3: Resource systems seem like an effort to further individualize character class choices. Were each of the resource mechanics designed with each archetype in mind to further gravitate players that normally play niche classes in RPGs toward a particular class? Can we expect each class to have additional resource generation skills/talents/traits to further alleviate downtime and if so could we possibly get an example or two?
4: Pacing in Diablo 2 was fairly straight forward with an occasional quest that took you out of the way. Can we expect quests or missions to take us into areas of interest that could potentially yield higher rewards than traveling the beaten path? If so, is this going to be used as a way to kind of herd players into alternate end-game options as far as loot farming or experience grinding?
5: Moo moooo mooo moo mooooo! Cows. Yes or no?
6: More and more titles are using achievements as "filler content". Will there be achievements that yield special rewards in-game beyond the achievement points? If so, could we get an example, hypothetical or otherwise?
7: Gambling was always a nice little feature that felt tacked onto Diablo 2. Has this feature been explored and revisited in any degree? Will this be a legitimate option to dump currency into as far as risk - reward ratio is concerned?
8: Respeccing your characters in many RPGs, be it MMO or otherwise, has become an expected feature. How will Diablo 3 handle this? Will there be a grind involved or will it be perhaps a drop?
9: Starcraft 2 has brought to light the new Battle.net. Can you tell us how Diablo 3 will make use of the features that Starcraft 2 has employed with the new online game hub? Can you share with us some features exclusive to Diablo 3 for battle.net?
10: Trading is one of the most valuable features as far as player interaction with one and another. Will this critical social game aspect be diminished as far as player to player interaction goes with a mutual trading hub or should we expect face to face trades to return as the sole means to trading?
11: With the Diablo universe, there has always been a much darker tone than that of any other Blizzard title. Graphically, the game looks absolutely amazing. Can we expect Diablo 3 to maintain the mature rating many long-time fans expect or will we see a shift in content? Can you give us an example of a particularly dark moment in the game?
12: End-game has always been a subject of interest and speculation to many long-time fans. What approach has been taken in Diablo 3? Can we expect to do boss runs similar to Diablo 2, or is there an alternative method to loot farming or experience grinding?
13 The follower system seems like a nice evolution from hirelings in Diablo 2. Will the followers be as viable in the harder difficulties as they are in normal? If so, will players have to compensate for them in the same ways that a player would if they suffer a penalty for being in the harder difficulties?
14: Magic find has always been a valuable statistic on items in Diablo 2. Will magic find influence other players' drops in your party or will it only affect your drops? Can we expect to see items that are seemingly dedicated to helping players find better loot? Could you delve into the basic function of the Magic Find system as it is in Diablo 3?
That's all I have. Thanks for considering my questions for Jay and the fellas!
I have an addendum to these questions, as you consider them:
15: In Diablo 2, players had to beat Normal difficulty to be able to make a Hardcore character. Later, this restriction was removed. Will there be limitations to when a player can create a Hardcore character? If so, what would that be?
16: There's an item trading site that takes advantage of the Diablo 2 player base by allowing players to purchase currency on the forum and trade that currency to other players for items. This has become a huge problem for in-game trading. How will the trading system help alleviate this issue and can we expect Blizzard to crackdown moreso on sites like those with Diablo 3?
17: Quests in Diablo 2 offered a few very nice permanent character boosts. Can we expect these to return and if so can we get an example of what one reward may be?
18: Traits are in the game to allow for much deeper customization in the wake of manual statistic placement. Can we expect traits to affect the core gameplay of individual classes?
19: There was mention of potential paid services for Diablo 3 that would not affect gameplay. Care to share the thoughts on those?
20: In Diablo 2, there were class specific items. Will these make a return and if so will there be class specific sets or legendaries?
21: One nice feature that came later in Diablo 2's lifespan was items that allowed players to use some cross-class skills such as Wolfhowl. Items like those serve a couple of different purposes such as allowing for further specialized character builds and replayability. Can we expect something similar with the release or in the future? If so, will runestones be able to augment those skills?
22: Given that the Diablo franchise has largely been a trading oriented game, will there be a way to help lessen the influx of items in the economy?
23: In act V of Diablo 2, Anya could personalize an item for you. While this customization was a pretty nifty idea, it diminished the value of a personalized item. Will there be a way to further customize items visually or otherwise, beyond socketables and dyes, and if so, can we get an example or two?
24: Some items were said to move while equipped on characters. Is this still in the game and if so, will this be the case for just specific pieces of gear?
25: Given the fact that much of the replayability in Diablo 2 was due to the lack of respeccing, is there a feature that would, beyond just magic find, promote players to sink more time into the game?
26: There was mention of craftable items. If this feature is still in the game, how will players obtain new recipes and what type of rarity of items will players be able to craft?
27: Dye has been confirmed to help players with more customization. How will we obtain dyes? Will some colors be much harder to obtain?
28: We know from an interview that the cube is returning, with a new name. What will its functionality be beyond possibly combining gems?
29: I remember an interview stating, using the Windforce as an example, that items may make a return but in a different capacity. Can we expect the return of some familiar items in Diablo 3? Will these items be altered to match better with the new classes and lore?
30: How has the lore influenced character class design? Without giving much away, can we expect the lore from Diablo 3 to influence the expansions' features?
31: Ladder seasons were a method to help reset the market for Diablo 2. While this feature accomplished its purpose, it devalued much of the players' time. In an interview I recall reading this was an antiquated feature and would not be returning. With that in mind, will there be a ladder in Diablo 3 and if so, will it be based on the PvP arena system?
doomscream, I've seen that "it will be cheaper to make a new character" line before, do you have a source for that?
I really hope its not so time consuming as leveling a character to 60 to respec my character once, or even 5 times. If that is an actual quote from blizzard i will be really disappointed.
1.) Will there be any servers on the African continent to alleviate lag for South African players being forced to play on EU Servers?
2.) Will there be any non-death related differences between Normal and Hardcore?
3.a) Seeing as how Diablo II is still being played many years later, will there be any achievements that require significant time to get (Eg: Kill 1,000,000 Zombies)
3.B) Will there be an achievement for, at one point or another, owning every Legendary / Unique item? This will allow players to keep track of what they have owned.
4.) If a player has 10 million gold, can he expect to spend it all without relying on other players (AKA: Will there be any extreme gold sinks)?
5.) Will there be any viable magic-find alternatives to prevent players from mf-grinding the end-game boss?
6.) Will a Level 14 Gem be THAT much better than a Level 13 Gem, or is this only really for completionists?
7.) What can players do about spam-bots that will inevitably arrive, aside from e-mailing the technical support team?
8.) Do those sub-hirelings (Such as the Archers shown in the Barbarian / Witch-Doctor trailer) still exist, and, if the player is extremely careful to keep them alive, will you be able to amass an army?
9.) Will the game be more or less free-roam than Diablo II?
10.) Will we be able to preview dyes effects before applying them?
11.) If you are in a clan, will there any way to tag yourself without starting a new character?
12.) Will single-player be playable offline?
13.) Will the non-found artisan recipes be viable in Hell Difficulty?
14.) Is there any system in place preventing people from spamming "Did any Demon Hunter item drop?" after every large monster fight?
15.) In the game-play videos, the average mob-size in Diablo III seemed larger than that in Diablo II. Is this going to hold true, or was that only for preview purposes?
16.) Will you be able to show item-stats to a player, without having to initiate a player trade?
17.) Is Low-Level Dueling viable, or would a team of 3 Level 18's get matched up against 2 Level 18's, and a Level 19?
18.) Will there be anything harder than the equivalent of the Diablo II Ubers?
19.) Will end-game pure Witch-Doctor summoners be viable (IE: With no offensive spells) ?
20.) Approximately how many different randomised quests will there be, per act?
21.) Will you be region-locked, or free to change whenever you wish?
22.) Will there be greater / fewer cinematics than in Diablo II?
23.) Will there be an option to delay corpse decay of monsters?
24.) Would you be concerned about non-nonsensical things in the Beta (Eg: Unintended graphical clipping issues, blades of grass seemingly out-of-place)
25.) Is the monster AI similar / more advanced than in Diablo II?
26.) Will there be a limit on the amount of times you can re-spec?
27.) What will the Age Restriction be for the game?
28.) Will long-term players (1 year+) have anything different (Effect-wise) to show that they are long-term players?
29.) Will there be any reason to break-down Legendary items in the cube?
30.) Which specific aspect of Diablo III was the most fun creating?
Question:
We know that there will be recipes that drop in Sanctuary that allow you to craft phat loot. Is there going to be any specialized crafting material in the world that is hard to find that will be required for some of those items?
1. Is single player available online and offline, or is it through Battlenet 2.0 only?
2. Do separate characters have to be created to play single player and co-op play, or can the same characters go back and forth?
3. Will the content be the same for single player and multiplayer? Or for single player online and single player offline? (ex. quests, cinematics)
Battlenet 2.0
1. How will the naming of charcters work? Does a player pick one username for themself and whatever character they log on with shows up with the name? Or are characters names individually?
2. Are there different realms or regions and can you play multiplayer between different realms/regions if they exist? Or can you only play with other players in the same realm/region?
3. What guild functionality/support will be available at launch?
General
1. What is going to be included in the collector's edition? If we cannot be told now, when will details be announced?
2. Are there classes that almost made it into the game or were under heavy consideration and what were they?
3. What are the developers' favorite class(es) to play and why?
4. Assuming we are going to know when beta will start and all of the systems that will be in place at launch (because of this event) is anything new Diablo-related planned to be announced at Blizzcon...release date maybe?!
Future
1. Is the Diablo 3 storyline already planned out through expansions or is it an ongoing process?
2. How many expansions are currently planned?
3. Will we be getting more playable classes in the future? How many? New ones or returing ones? Examples of ideas the team has tossed around?
Only one question, which I know is a hot topic here that many think "no way, won't happen", but which most people who are keeping their finger on the pulse of gaming would know would be foolish for them to skip, are they planning on releasing Diablo 3 for Onlive, so that people who do not have newer computers can still play it? They once mentioned console releases, then scrapped that, so we know it can easily be adapted for onlive, since all it requires for them to port it to onlive is... giving onlive a copy. You'd still be able to connect to battle.net via the game itself, and wouldn't cost Blizzard anything extra, since Onlive's team ports the game for the company, typically. This could unlock another possible 100,000+ sales for Blizzard, and would function similar to how they offer downloads currently.. except you wouldn't need to upgrade processors, graphics cards, ram, or hard drives, as you can just stream the game. Mind you, each game you purchase for Onlive has it's own cdkey, just like any game you purchase from the store, that is linked to your account only. Therefore, it's a simple question, really, Will Blizzard jump on the Onlive cloud gaming train with everyone else, or are they going to insist on gamers only playing diablo 3 if they are also willing to upgrade their computers?
Diablo II barely had any after you killed hell Baal other than continue to MF for eternity or try the impossible legit grind to 99 (post-1.09). I am curious if Blizzard has any extra content to throw in at max level or I fear I may feel like I'm just playing Diablo II again.
What are the plans regarding naming characters? Will name's be unique to the account, meaning I could have a character with the same name as another character, and our accounts will differentiate us, or will names be realm-bound meaning once I name a character something, no one else can use that name unless I delete said character? Could the account names themselves be used as a surname as some players have suggested?
And neither can anyone else without super-fast internet!
Can YOU stream 1080p Movies? I can't!
By super-fast, you mean the 5mbps standard cable service of three years ago, when most services are offering way more standard, for instance, many providers offering 15mbps? Also, yes, I can stream 1080p Movies, and I can use Onlive with no problem, with 5mbps internet, while someone else browses the net and uses skype, I might add. Sorry to break it to you, but your response is a bit more troll-like than mine. Maybe you should stop using AOL? 56k doesn't support very many games these days, and I'm certain you won't be able to play diablo 3 on it, either.
