what if this mmo battle.net 2.0 thing was a game but then if you had games linked to your account you could jump from game to game while playing so if you got bored you could be like hey lets play this game and create a match and invite your friends. i am high as hopefully some 1 can decrypt this and get what im talken about.
I get it. Once you install the game you want to be able to just open it up straight from bnet instead of having to close new mmo and then waiting for d3 to load or sc2
or even wow. Thats a good idea hopefully they put it in so we dont hav to wait only ppl with SSD's dont have to wait >.<

From what I've read about BNET 2.0, that sounds like a feature they are planning on. What I understand is that 2.0 will allow you to link all your games together through chat. For instance, you are playing WoW and your D3 friend pops into a D3 game. You would still be notified even though you are in a different game. This allows you to chat with friends from other games and jump straight from one game into said friend's game.

That's how I understand it.
It'll work like Steam. You will have a global chat, and you will get a pop up letting you know when a friend logs in, or what game they've just launched etc. You'll have an option in Bnet 2.0 to join said friends game, but it still requires that the current game you're playing to be shut down to desktop and then the new game is launched. This is done with a click of a button, but it's not like you can swap from game to game with no downtime.

Right, right. Most games utilize all your system RAM and CPU power to run smooth. Why would you want to be running mulitple games at once anyways? That's what 2 compys and a switch box is for.

Well you wouldn't run any 2 games at once.. you would run 1 game and if you want to join your friend to another game.. it would shut down the game you are playing now and start the other. There wouldn't be any startup splash screens and videos but it would go straight to chat with the other game.

^this. more or less i see 2.0 taking whats good of Steam and the original Battlenet. not as worried about the features as i am paying for it... i know its been said it will be free, but we shall see.
Blizzard did say its free, Diablo3 will remain free.
As it should be.
Blizzard makes money off of WoW, all 11 million players.
11 million X $15 a month = 165 million a month.
I think we are safe from pay to play for D3.

none the less its a business, if theres potential to make more, whose to say they wont take it?
It is certainly possible.
They would be making a very big mistake if they changed their minds.
They did announce that D3 is free online, so im not stressing about it.
If they did however make it P2P, I most likely wouldn't pay.
