I really liked how D2 questing was very linear, as in you finished a quest and only then started the next one. I fed up with Fable's "choose your own destiny!" and WoW's "25 quests at the same time!". I'd love if it worked with only 1 main quest at a time, but many side quests. This side quests would be quite short, and independent from your main quest. Maybe they don't even show in your quest log. I think this is what was implemented in last Blizzcon, but I'm not sure.
What do you think? Would you go for D2's "one quest at a time", or would you prefer something more... varied?
EDIT: sorry if this is too similar to that poll on "which types of quests would you prefer?". The idea is to discuss whether you would like 1 or more quests at the same time, not which types of quests.
I'm not sure about the actual number but i know theres more than in D2 and theres just overall more quests, lots of side quests. Remember D2 had sidequest but these will be random varied and there will be lots of em.

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
It will have a solid, linear storyline in which you'll have undeniable quests to finish. But there will also be random quests and optional quests.
I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of NPC(s) that hand out recurring optional quests that you can do over and over again for a reward. And perhaps each time you do the quest, it gets harder, and the rewards are greater.
How can you ask that. Thats diminishing the amount amunt of quests to like 5 per act... and with so many more cities and stuff it would be so boring in d3 environment. I'd much rather have 999 side quests 40 story quests. I mean this story is gunna be huge and its alot bigger than D2 was so i don't think they'll have it where there's like 5 per act.

I am hoping for more of both as well. The main quests can delve deeper into the story and the sides can help out more with the lore. When you can go explore all the nooks and crannies you can actually have some side quests inbetween making it more of an adventure instead of just going for all the mains and skipping out on the rest of the areas.
