So here's something that some of you (maybe all of you and I'm just a dumb ass) may have noticed about Diablo 3 as the monk and the borderlands were unveiled.
So the first thing we have is the fact that it begins after another retarded move by one of our "bad ass" characters, as in Diablo 1, a smart man shoved the soulstone up his ass and in Diablo 2, some "godly" angel decided that destroying a huge ruby that getting destroyed by a guy 5 minutes before hand was a good decision. So that's a first.
The second this is the fact how similar the acts are so far. In act 1 Diablo 2, we have the Rogue Encampment, a sunny happy place with forests and fun cute animals. In act 2, we have Nigeria and Iran put together in the medieval ages.
So apparently, the Diablo 3 employees sat down in a round table and said "Hey guys, we need some fresh ideas. Anyone?" and one guy going "Hey let's have a forest act 1 where you go Tristram again and then in Act 2 you go to the Sahara again!" Well that's a great idea!

Anyone wtf'ed over this as well?
no?!?...just because they used a similar formula doesn't mean that it will look or feel the same as diablo 2..especially due to the updated graphics.
With the destruction of the worldstone, a rift has opened in the fabric of Sanctuary's time-space continuum, forcing would-be heroes to set off on quests already completed and visiting areas previosly seen.
Starring Leslie Nielsen as the enigmatic Cain and Arnold Schwarzenegger reprising a role as the Barbarian.
Coming soon in theaters near you.

lol it can still easily be a ranger since who said you cant shoot arrows at melee distance xD
Quote from "Archie" »
The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees
1. i cant hardly tell wth your saying in your post (OP) something about shoving stuff up your ass? Well anyway...
2. It makes sense that the areas you visit come in a similar order since your character should start out as a weak ass guy and slowly become the powerful symbol of death we all know and love. Therefore, it makes logical sense that the safer places of the world in d2 would be the safer places of the world in d3, and therefore your weak ass is going to start off killing rats where the rats may roam and not with the dragons, if you get my drift.
Truth be told, Act 1 didn't come off as much of a forest to me. I mean, I know it was supposed to be a forest but... it looked kinda like a series of grassy flat fields connected by a cave network with some trees peppered in.
I, of course, took the graphical limitations into account so I always accepted it for what it was.
But with the improved technology, if they can pull off a convincing creepy ass forest with Act 1, I'd be all for it.
Well, I can see your point, but as mentioned we don't know what order the acts will be in...there are also obviously areas we haven't seen yet too. Maybe for the time they are just letting us know of areas that are somewhat familiar and keeping the remainders for release or as later announcements.
Honestly, I'm happy so far with what we've seen; yeah it's a bit familiar, but hey how many different environments can you come up with anyhow? I mean you look at D2 there was forest, desert, jungle, hell and snowy mountain....that covers almost every environment possible on the planet (unless you want some underwater Diablo action).

As far as the story line - I do agree it's a bit run-of-the-mill. I can't say I mind though - I mean, it's mind-numbing action to begin with.
I would personally like to see Skovos islands (Mediterranean/Greek) or the Asian setting. Also can't wait to see whether Hell takes over Heaven - a hellish heaven... yummy and creative.
Ok, well, I could see wastelands (would be awesome Dreadlands maybe?) and plains...I honestly think saying jungle and tropics are different is splitting hairs. I get your point though; I was thinking more along the lines of atmosphere and weather I guess. Yes, Asian would be awesome too; like crazy undead samuria or something would be really cool I think.

Sup dude,
I'm sorry, I mean, You will have to understand that blizzard isn't Here to make new "fresh content" If you do not like playing the best mmorp you will have to go see somewhere else, Blizzard Is a Inc. company, the only wants to make money and if by the way the can make some game to gather more money maybe they will. Maybe you will dont love the game, but you will have to understand that they are creating Diablo 3 NOT SRHOIFSHJOISHSGHS 3.... You understand what I mean? they recreating Diablo for the third time to improve it, they make sever change, WT'F they have to do about the mapping... for my self i never did the whole act3.... or even act 2 in part...so what as all the "saharah" and "forest" to do about Diablo 3, Diablo is killing monster leveling gathering gold getting better gear and say "hey n00b I killed your mom last night, eheh come with me in the forest ill show you my big boobs" That is what the game is bout lol......
So there ill show you my point... as short as it could be...
From the DIablo 1 To the Diablo 2 To the Diablo 3
all the Diablo 3 Characters historic:
1st created ever character:Amazon went amazon to another Bowman or ranger.
2nd: The Barbarian went Barbariand And Barbarian again to Become The best know character from Diablo And will be the most play on the first day.
3th: The Sorceress went sorceress to Wizard. According to blizzard the 3 from diablo 1 haven't much improve, but i think it was only they wanted to make just another game a bit bigger not to make it different.
4th: The Monk, for my own, i consider de monk as a variant of the paladin since they playing combo in some way both and they have same kind of fight.
5th: The necromancer became Witch Doctor. This is no surprise. I think after the pally the necromancer was the most loved hero in Diablo 2. Not such a jurk like the trapp ass or blink barb or a hammy could be... but in playability or for fun...
Finnaly my point is, Diablo is a KILL, GATHER ALL THE DIABLO 3 ITEMS AND PLAY GAME, Blizzard wanna make money and we want it out soon as possible so fuck the act 1 forest (btw it will be a no loading world) and dechu and of course to join the fuckin BEST DIABLO 3 CLAN GUILD.
Yeah acts are multiple locations more towns to viisit than just tristram or caldeum it hink another town confirme is the great city of westmarch and also the lost city or ureh. But don't worry it won't be like D2 as much as some people think it is it's own game nota copy

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
How about coconut island? With monkeys and deadly parrots Woa this is gonna be so creepy!
I'm going to have to one-up you and suggest Gullah Gullah Island.
Battle through hordes of dancing/singing children... right into the hair-raising showdown with Binyah Binyah Pollywog.
Regardless of what kind of environment we've visited before in the Diablo series, the experience shouldn't be comparable. If the environments in the first gameplay demonstration tell me anything, it's that I will finally be able to feel like I'm progressing through Sanctuary.
As I stated before, Act 1 felt like a series of plain, grassy, flat areas connected together by a cave system to me. Only when I reached the Monastery Gates and proceeded farther in did I feel like I was really getting somewhere.
My point being that with these fleshed out environments, I'll finally feel like I'm traveling this great distance. I won't be thinking "How the hell did this jail even function? Why do I have to walk through 5 prison cells to reach the exit?" Thus creating an entirely unique experience from Diablo 2 in that regard.
So what if it has a forested area? It will look and feel a hell of a lot better than it did on D2. Same goes for the desert. A mine shaft area? That's freaking awesome to me. That shows these people mine for raw materials. These kind of details bring an immersive world closer to fruition.
Don't think that Act 2 is ENTIRELY desert-based. It's quite possible that the Acts simply melt together and create a nice flow. Hell, Act 1 could end on the outskirts of the desert, and Act 2 starts farther in. Maybe Act 2 ends on the outskirts of Kurast - but then people would complain that Act 3 is jungle terrain again. Does it really matter? The answer is simply: No.

Yeah, I had noticed the acts look similar than those in D2... Is it confirmed Tristan is act 1 and Caldeum is act 2?...
I hadn't thought about both games starting by someone else's mistake. Maybe Tryael's destruction of the Worldstone wasn't a mistake, we'll have to see
i want to revisit areas and see how they have changed
