Ive always wanted in a fps the idea to actually make it like real life. You know like if you die in the game you have to start all over and the longer you live, the more kills you get the higher rank you go up and the more you can command people. Idk the idea came to me as I wass playing killzone 1
One thing I'd like that would probably be rejected by most as being out of place in Diablo is the ability to own a shop, hire an npc to run it, set prices for the loot you bring back, have it be subjected to market fluctuations, etc. The more business detail the better.
I'd like to see the characters actually express their pain and anguish as their health gauge lowers by limping, decreased damage, decreased dodge rate etc.
In reality it would be like this: after you're cut, battered and near death, you won't be able to run and fight like you could while at full health.
But of course, this would mean it would be an ever increasing uphill battle as you get hurt more and more, leading to the inevitable death. But it would be interesting, especially to watch the boss get weaker as well
I allways wanted more RPG elements. Like dialogs choices, a charisma system, housing, choose between good, evil and neutral.. Imagine Baldur's Gate with Diablo's gameplay, thats my dreamgame.
I think most of the ideas of "normal" rpgs here posted are great, but cannot be done because of the speed of the game. It's a hack and slash, never stop fighting kind of game. Working classes, housing, charisma and factions don't mix with the game dinamic.
I want armor to look more and more battered and shitty as it's durability is lowered, or even looking burnt after being hit with a fireball/lightning bolt.

Ye, I would love that, armor details and also if you don't have armor, show some scratches over your body, and weapon also looking more old with the time. But sadly there is no durability in D3 :/
