Do you guys think that the 1.13 patch is like the guinea pig for DiabloIII? I mean, the increased stash size and other changes may be applied in diablo3 and they would want our feedback.
I think that original concept for 1.13 is completely different than what they are doing now. Now this patch will be exactly that... Too bad we won't see it for quite some time.
They might implement some things like the items system in d3 where each player gets his own loot... But then it might totally destroy d2 so i dont think they will do that... I dono. I really want this patch out already FFS
I though they were gonna add some events that would tie in to D3, maybe even add one of the lesser evils they said they would have on d2 Azmodan or Belial.
I personally think that if they were to do that they would be tampering with things that might soil the game in its stronger points and that they would need to be very careful if they did something along that line. There would be a difference between embellishing the game and implementing new things completely.
Not that I'm opposed to some change, but eh
...some people are dreaming WAY too much over a PATCH.
Patches can add content, and make significant changes. When they say 'patch' they don't always mean 'bugs fixes and that's it'.
Look at patch 1.10.
Look at any WoW patch.
Assuming, as a company, Blizzard would safely archive all of their assets and tools that were used in the creation of their old games. This is a common practice, in any company not just in the gaming industry.
That being said, they have everything available they need to add new content, should they desire to do so.
Besides. Patch 1.13 was announced a while ago. Generally Blizzard has been working on their projects for 2-3 years before they make announcements. Taking an awful long time to put out a patch for bug fixes and game tweaks only, don't you think?

Hm... True:

Underlining 'content' seemed to give some the impression that we are purely looking for suggestions to add a new act, or a new dungeon, or that there wouldn't be any changes that one wouldn't consider 'content' such as fixing bugs. That wasn't the intent. A content patch is simply a description for a patch that is a major release, and not a patch that only makes minor corrections, fixes and tweaks. That doesn't mean that those corrections, fixes, and tweaks aren't also what we were looking for though.

I kno blizz patchs are kind inovating (change the whole skill system in diablo2, added heroes in warcraft 3). But add a class or complete change the skills of one is completly out of question.
I hope they increase the inventory, nerf some runewords, balance some synergies and remove immunities (at least at singleplayer). Also the low quality sets should have the drop rate greatly improved because their rarity are absolutly higher then their utility.
About testing D3 stuff in this patch i believe this can hapen, but not testing classes and skills, the game mechanic are different they can't test this kind of stuff in another game lol. Maybe a new type of item or more quests imo.
I WANNA TEST IT NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

If they were to use the 1.13 patch as a decoy for D3, first off id be happy D3s out. Then i would be pissed because i was excited for the 1.13 patch and that my characters got reset and i play D3 not D2 anymore.....:(
