Could it be a nephalem? Half angel, half demon, all badass. The worldstone was what held the nephalimic properties of the humans at bay.Could it be possible that one has finally emerged after 20 years?

You mean like a old one right? Not one that was JUST born in the last 20 years. I hate the idea more powerful humans would just start being born after all this time of being weakened.
It could be an old one I guess it does have both a demonic and angelic look.

It is possible that a person with the right bloodline could become a nephalem or at least a minor nephalem. It really depends on how the worldstone worked. It contained the power of the nephalem, and it was broken. Does that mean that the power was turned back on immediatley? Did it simply drift around like a cloud until it found a proper host? Or did it slowly seep back into the populus? Too many variables.
Well the way I've always heard it, the world stone weakened the powers over the ages. I don't know where the power went but if it took ages to weaken I'd assume it'd take ages to return if it could return at all. So I don't think we'll see a new Nephalem at least not one that looks as fierce and prominent as that.
But seriously, I wonder what has happened to the T-man. I hear about all these other angels, but he seems to be missing the spot light, unless I'm not paying enough attention.
Oh my idea makes no sense, let's play a magic card "They changed it"
Oh lets say inarius wings were not torn and etc. What ?, it's not working ? Yea, maybe Blizzard changed it. That's just awfully funny.
Don't crap up the thread for everyone just because you dislike me for one reason or another. Is it not possible they changed it? It's a small cosmetic feature and if the sword/cross was facing the other way it would seem pretty odd for a upside down cross to be on a angel's chest.
This is all speculation, that's the point of it. I've said many times in this thread that it could be a completely new angel or maybe Yaerius. Instead of seeing that you choose to focus on it being Imperius. This is a open discussion about who the angel might be, it's not a Imperius thread. You STILL haven't said who you think it is...
NO ONE is right or wrong here it's just speculation. If you can't handle speculation, you should stay out of speculative threads.
To answer your question, no, they don't look alike. The first link you put forth reminds me of....this will sound strange, I know....a pissed off Izual.

Unless it's a new angel... then we have to use the sword as evidence...
It's not Inarius, his wings were ripped off and he was distorted.
It's not any of the other Angiris council.
It's not Tyrael the armors are vastly different, as are the wings.
That leaves a few it could be.
Yaerius, which was never really explained or described too much. I believe he was the angel that gathered the Zakarum religion.
Imperius.
Or someone new.
Fuck you, I'm a dragon.

Obviously...
I was more talking about the winged armor and helmet and the shape of the wings.

Over confidence is the rot.

No. It's not.
Looks like one to me, whether that was the intention of the artist or not.
I will even quote yourself :
Unless Blizzard decided to change this. Which I stated a couple posts later...
Really stop trying to crap all over peoples speculation. It's just speculation it may or may not be right.
Notice how I didn't JUST reply to you with "Yes. It is." because that's not a productive argument. Neither is "No. It's not."
I don't mind if you don't believe it's Imperius but how about telling us what you DO believe instead of just trying to rain on people's parade.

Yeah whoever the angel is, it will look AWESOME in a cinematic.
