After hearing the trailer music again, I really can't believe they didn't use a better sound track. If I was blind folded and had to guess what game this sound track would fit best, Diablo would have been the last to come to my mind. They should have used a more dark sinister symphonic track. I think the best part of the revealing was when the guy with the guitar came up on stage and played the main theme of Tristram.
I guess it would be kind of difficult to fit that kind of music into the type of scene they presented Diablo 3 with that contained so much action. But I still think another sound track a bit more Diablo could have been used.

well I hope the music just builds on the style for D2. I'm not hoping for a drastic departure, just true to the Diablo franchise. I think Blizzard will be conservative and build on D2, rather than some brand new style.

So we've got over the problem of colour in D3. Great. Now let's argue about everything else not yet set in stone and help make this game simply great! Game on.
Lol, not sure, but did you hear her ? Biff that woman in that trailer makes Diablo 3 sound like it's meant to be a game on Mythology and clearly it's not. Even though I'm sure she's not supposed to be an Egyptian singer, she sounds like it.
Diablo is very clearly mythologically based, just not traditional Chinese, Greek, or Norse, it Middle Eastern, spread into Europe, after Rome. AKA Dark Ages, like when Christanity got dumbed down and turned into more like folklore and hocus pocus than religion. Like monks built gargoyals to scare demons away from churchs and stuff.
I thought it was amazing until she said "I don't think it's safe here..." since it was completely off-topic and random.
I really liked the music. All you need to do is record it off a youtube video.
I wouldn't think it's too safe either if a Meteorite just smashed through the roof and made a giant crator in the Church... oh, and the whole angel rising out of it.
As far as I know, at this point in time there's no way to get the pure cinematic trailer music. The only possible way is if you get all the voices and sound effects with it (basically the cinematic trailer without the visuals).
... that is until Blizzard specifically releases the mp3 files. And you can be sure that they will eventually, just not right now.
Unless you really do want to just listen to the cinematic trailer without the visuals?
