It's amazing.
Some people who watched the diablo3 gameplay footage immediately went insane with anger on this site a month ago, some with valid points, others without.
Since getting all the D3 vids on disc, I've had time to stay awhile and listen to what the narrator has to say.
**--Examples?--**
One of the first things i noticed was that people were complaining about the skeletons who continuously block barbie's attack. People exclaimed that this was ludicrous.
But the whole point of that was so the demonic archers standing behind those skeletons could do some damage till you dealt with those blocking skeletons.
Another (and these are just two examples, feel free to contribute) was the fact that the WD got so flamed after his introduction. Some ppl saying his summons were 'weak' and unappealing. The narrator clearly states that the mongrels were the first of these pets, and the ability to imbue them with your curses? awesome.
Basically this post is about those who didn't listen close enough. Please feel free to add (not adhd).
Then on another note some guys screamed about the floating health bars above enemy heads, saying that it should be on the top of the screen.
Why?
In Diablo2 whilst tryin to kill a craver shamen(s) in a group of indistinguishable carvers was frustrating!: Moving your pointer around trying to pin-point the shaman (sometimes champion) was a timeous affair, leaving you open to attack. Now having the health bar floating right on top of your enemies makes the killing a little more organised.
I don't have the time to type an essay, so please add.

Not that I disagree with your opinions...but let me get this straight....
You actually have trouble killing groups of Carver?
i agree that many people are jumping the gun. I DO THINK that the graphics (visuals really, not graphics) need to be tweaked in areas, but that being said I also think they are VERY BEAUTIFUL and APPEALING.
I signed the petition against it, but then i really started to like the graphics. I think this is kind of like comparing wind waker to twilight princess. although i think i like and prefer the graphic style of TP, I found myself much more happy with WW, as it set the mood not on color, but feeling, music, events, and so on. If the game never appears somewhat happy and nice, it gets dull and monotonous fast. That being said, I do not think the jump from D2 to D3 is ANYWHERE near as big of a jump as the two zelda games (obviously)...it was just a comparison.
I don't really see a point to the thread. People already jumped the gun, as in, it's old news. Happened a month ago. What is the use in pointing out that people get upset really, really, really easily? We aren't discussing the arguments, but just stating that some people are upset? Ummm... why?

ROFLMAO
anyways your post is a bit late, people are starting to generally calm down around here.
I would heartily disagree. Despite Jay Wilson stating in two recent articles that the design team tinkered around with different art designs and have finally come to rest on the current iteration, people still seem to have their panties in several bundles. People can't or wont just shut up and realize that this is how it's going to be.
We have two rather large threads Diablo 3 Art Direction No Going Back and Diablo 3 will kill Blizzard?, which despite the titles are pretty much just people bickering about the art direction. People aren't letting it go, people wont let it go, at least on this fan forum.
A side note/question. People tend to be rather inflammatory here and pretty immature, or at least some newcomers from the last couple weeks. Diii.net seems to be empty of that kind of crap. Do they have better, or should I say, more strict moderation? Or is that more just my imagination and I need to look around their forums some more?
what I meant Mr Icicle was that while yes there is still some bickering about the art direction still, at least they stay in the right place.
When the art direction flaming first started, you couldn't make any thread without it turning into a flame fest about the art direction.
Now though people are willing to talk about other things, and keep the art flames in the threads that talk about them.

K, good point. You're right. I must have blocked that from my memory or something, because I can't really remember it, lol.
You do have some good points, but each of them have been discussed before. I'd suggest taking your ideas to the appropriate threads (your thoughts about the Witch Doctor in the main Witch Doctor thread in the Classes section, for example).

Couldn't agree more. Whining about whiners? Sounds like flamebait to me. I vote "close".
