These are all the images from the artwork trailer. I took screenshots of them all for easy reference. They are roughly in order, but not exact. Well, okay, its not every single image because I did skip a few of the unimportant ones (like ones that we have already seen before).
I don't know who he is but he looks so cool.
Note that this guy follows straight after the first one, so they may both be monsters (because at first I thought it may have been a mage class).
De Soto?? Tradesman? Some kind of royalty? He's clearly very rich.
Aren't these red flowers the type of flowers that blossom after a war is fought? Edit: They are called poppies!
Ureh, Kingdom of Shadow!! Oh come on, you know I'm right
thank you for posting this
btw one monster on the pics has multiple mouth..and heads like our villain in the cinematic trailer...
Ah, thats true! Perhaps a minion of Belial? Somehow, the image doesn't feel like it would be Belial himself though. I dunno, it just doesn't seem epic enough. But who knows.
And oh, I found out what the name of the red flowers is: Poppies!
Poppies have long been used as a symbol of both sleep and death: sleep because of the opium extracted from them, and death because of their (commonly) blood-red color. In Greco-Roman myths, poppies were used as offerings to the dead.
Though that really doesn't mean much. Judging by the image, we already know that that place is a dangerous desert. The skull says a lot more than the poppies do, lol.
One assumed, from a rapidly quick initial glance upon release, that this creature was about the same size as a typical Goatman. Comparing it to Ms. Pain however, reveals it to be considerably larger. One then wonders whether this is a Boss-type creature...

Either a Boss Gaurdian. Or maybe that isn't the Mistress beside him, there are no spider legs/butt/anything. They're definitely scaling it against something though...
Her legs are an issue, but perhaps one could consider that since they are spread apart wider than a typical creature, one could say they were left out for comparative reasons.

Well she has a dress on it looks like.
Who knows though really. Maybe they're scaling the monster to another female monster or boss, or maybe class :O.
Ah yes indeed it does. Excellent eye there friend.
One notes several interesting minor changes between both creatures however. The headgear has been altered from the twin short spikes on front of the head, to that of a singular spike on the front, as well as another shorter one at the back. The flappy stripes of cloth at the sides of the creatures head has also been replaced by several pieces of chin-shields. The shoulder spikes have been toned down slightly, and the wrist guard have been altered.
The height of the creature in the gameplay video did not appear to be significant compared to other humanoids, much less of the player, and certainly not to the scale of the damsel featured as comparison. Thus, taking that into consideration, one can conclude with certainty that the applicability and validity of the sketch can be disregarded when one compares it to the current state of the game.
One notes with interest however the alternate scenario this blueprint sketch may have initially served as. The gigantic proportions to that of the gameplay video does suggest it was originally intentioned as a boss-type creature. Should one find that scenario to have some basis in truth, one could theorize that the lady might also have been an initial and incomplete sketch of Ms. Pain. One wonders whether such a large creature might have proved to be a far more formidable opponent compared to the average weakling the gameplay video reveals it to be...
Wow, the artwork trailer was recently removed from the site.
I wonder if this thread is now illegal...
Perhaps a feeling of deja vu is being experienced by one such as myself, but did not certain individuals observe this a few weeks ago? One distinctly remembers letting out an involuntary smile to oneself for having downloaded the aforementioned video before it was taken down. Of course, one could perhaps be mistaken, and said video may have been of a different yet visually stimulating and pleasurable kind...

I think it's a specter like the ones in the gameplay trailer though in this artwork he doesn't look that spectral.
Mind doesn't....
MMM Widescreen PC.
Sorry, it doesn't scroll to the right for me...
OOHh, I see. Internet Explorer makes it scroll to the right. I should have known IE would do that. Tsk tsk.

Her's is more horizontal, and has an extra piece on top. But the leg part does kinda look like her dress, just without the extra 6 legs.
Maybe he's like her pet? You have to defeat him before you defeat her?

Mayhaps it is the Angel class we might get to play...
