I'm trying to figure out how the D3 team can justify the conquests this season I'm trying to do lvl 3 gems to 65 & do a lvl 75 grift & I can't even get past grift 68 so how Am I to lvl up gems to 65 if I can't get past a 68 grift!?
And the other conquests are impossible to do if you're a solo player like myself!!!
I have tried do a T10 rift in 2 min in a 4 man co-op but I have yet to get that done, too!!!
BTW, I loved the conquests for season 5 those were 10 times easier to do than season 6!
The amount of incoming damage in Greater Rift 70 and above has been reduced
even bad players can do gr70 now, so everyone should do 80-85 next season, also the conquest are really easy on S6 , i mean i was doing tx rifts in less than 2 mins with 400 para

Well you want to help do a T10 rift in 2 min I'm playing a WD helltooth BTW!!!

The fast T10 build with Chicken and manajuma? if not you aren't doing it right. and if you are you need to stop looting items and go for the time and port instantly out of rift and turn it in.

So tell me how to play with the Chicken and manajuma do I go only kill the bosses or what?
There is a whole guide on it on this site. Its the T10/GR45 speed farming build. You basically just run around in chicken form 1 shotting elites at 400% run speed.
Spec is fine. I did it while playing HT myself this season. It all depends on map layout and amount of packs on it. Best maps are desolate sands, battlefields, greyhollow island (snow and normal version) and oasis. There is usually high density and plenty of packs.
You should use manajuma set as the runspeed is important. Ingeom in cube for no CD spam.
As was written before, don't loot anything! Open the rift, search first pack for ingeom proc then hop from pack to pack gathering only the globes. Kill the boss, teleport out and close. Then you got 30 seconds to loot the boss.
Get used to MJ set and look for one of the good maps. If you see it on first floor give it a shot. If not, just play it normally with looting and crap.
Trying to do this solo, I have got the 3 min achievement done so far & thank you for the info!!!
I've seen alot of ppl claiming the conquests are hard, srsly? are they? i'm really asking here, because i never had any difficulty completing any of them in any season, heck this season i played 100hours on the season hero and went back to NS and i still got the season journey mostly solo and sometimes with rl m8's/GF.
My advise is to dedicate yourself to it instead of slacking, cause u HAVE to be slacking at this point the season has lasted ALOT of time, more than enough for a solo 80 np.

The 50 million gold streak requires a bit of luck and preparation (T7+ vault or gold goblin while wearing Boon of the Hoarder, Goldskin, and/or gold find gear; or Ruins of Corvus). Yet, it's the easiest conquest.
8 set dungeons require people to gear up at least two characters with all four sets plus the gear required for that level (about T6 difficulty); since every class has 1-2 super hard set dungeons, it might be more reasonable to actually gear three classes and cherry pick set dungeons, but still that's a lot of multi-class time investment that many casuals don't do.
Level GR55 with six different sets is like 8 set dungeons - just much harder (instead of gearing for T6 and being able to cherry pick, you need to gear for the equivalent of about T12 or so). While it's relatively easy on one class and ridiculously easy for people that reach a certain level of paragon, many casuals perceive this as difficult.
Sprinter (campaign in under one hour) is hard. I've seen experienced runners doing everything perfect and only get this with 3 minutes left. I've seen some of the best players in the world attempt this and fail this by pure RNG (and after one hour of pushing this not everyone can live with the defeat and just "try again").
The Thrill is arguably the easiest, though it's a matter of 1) how much paragon you have, 2) your gem levels, 3) your non-set gear available and 4) your general knowledge of class skills outside of cookie cutter builds. It's the easiest conquest in my book if you have paragon 400+, rank 50+ gems and a few random ancient items (even if they have no useful legendary effects). But there are many casuals who don't have this, and play this game for what it is - a hack'n'slash game where they pick a few random spells and just click on mobs while hoping they die.
Avarice and The Thrill should be doable, at least with some preparation, for many casual players (not all, but many). The other three conquests are hard for casuals, yes.
The season 6 conquests will be much easier in comparison.
I was dumb enough to try and master "Jade" dungeon this season.. Booooooy who would have known how wrong i was, lol. Spent 3 hours straight and nearly broke the laptop keyboard. Jesus Christ... INVISIBLE snakes lol. And they only fixed them now on PTR.
Avarice quest was super easy i didn't even notice how i did that. Thrill of the Hunt was easy too. Just a typical LON DOD build with half ancients crap and i am done. t10 rift i did in group, haven't even noticed as well.
Jade dungeon was hardest of all, even for a skilled WD player like me.
GR 45 setless- Tricky for some classes. Crusaders have it the easiest by far - Stack a shitton of thorns, use Hack/Sanguinary Bracers. Easy.
6 GR 55/8 set masteries - Time consuming. GR 55 is easy enough that if you have lvl 50 gems+600 paragon, you just need a 6 set and supporting weapons, no ancients required. Set dungeons require more time due to needing 6 piece of more sets, which can take a while longer, but are again easy, especially since you can have additional players help you (Just having them go behind you and pick off mobs you missed helps a !@#$ing ton)
Sprinter - Only hard conquest this time around.
Avarice - This can be done on T6. Stack Gold Find, as much of it as you can spare. Get a lvl 50 Boon of the Hoarder. Go through the Ruins of Corvus WITHOUT killing a single mob, open all the doors, spawn all the scarab packs. When you reach the end, teleport out. Go back to the start of the Ruins of Corvus, Plot out the most efficient path, kill mobs, loot. Did it with an extra 30mil gold, had Leorics Crown (82% gold find), Goldskin (Always 100% gold find), gold find on amulet (100%), and ~3 pieces with gold find (another 100).
So, really, the hard conquest is Sprinter. Even the 45 setless requires either stacking of certain legendaries/paragon/gems for a class (Demon Hunters use Magefist, Cindercoat, Yangs, and DML for infinite Multishot Spam+huge fire damage boost, Wizards can use Arcane Orb/Twister builds, ect), or just go Thorns Crusader (Super easy, I swear, its ridiculous)
Now, for gems/GR 70...
Gems have a 60% chance to be upgraded up to the same GR lvl. OP stated he can do GR 68, so he has a 60% chance to upgrade gems up to lvl 68. Time consuming, yes, but easily doable.
Given that OP hasn't linked his gear, im going to assume that he does NOT have 3 lvl 65 legendary gems, and are probably in the 50s range. Getting 3 gems up to lvl 65 from lvl 50 is almost equivalent to an entire GR lvl, so thats GR 69. Im also going to assume that he does not have ANY Caldessans, whatsoever. Getting 5 lvl 60 Caldessans is equivalent to another GR lvl, so thats GR 70 atm.
Finally, theres a question of, are you clearing the right way? Note that there is such a thing as GR RNG that can lead to a 5 GR swing either way. Sometimes I clear GR 55 (My normal speed farm atm) with only 3 minutes to spare due to having 3 minute stretches of 0 elites. Sometimes I can clear GR 60 in 5 minutes due to having tons of elites everywhere. Note that with the current GR meta, if you do not have the ability to drag mobs into huge groups (Helltooth does with that one Zombie Wall rune that moves mobs around, but its time consuming), then you essentially have to stay moving, ONLY stopping for groups of more then 20 small mobs, elite mobs that you don't take more then 30 seconds to kill, and groups of more then 5 big mobs (Abominations, Unburied, Savage Beasts, Gorgons, ect) If you stop to kill packs smaller then that, you are doing it wrong. If you spend 2 minutes trying to kill an elite group thats a bad combo for you (mob/power composition), you are doing it wrong. If you stop to kill every single minion of an elite pack rather then focusing down the champ, you are doing it wrong.
Avarice was a breeze, just had to watch for the goblin and swap gear before engaging. Did one by accident without properly gearing up and hit 49 mill...
The Thrill was a bit of a hodge podge of gear and a few minutes of scatching head and looking through the skills. In the end I went with a set build and simply tried to adjust to not having the set. It being 45 I managed to muddle through with maybe 2 minutes left. I've only gotten 61-62 WITH the set so, not a great player by any means...
I agree that some of conquests are too hard... for someone who is only playing HC.But hey, some things need to be there to be extra hard.
At least I dont care much about them, I only cared about the extra stash space... which again for a casual HC only player is pretty much impossible... so I gave up.
I personally never managed to solo 'fast' T-? rifts ever. Regardless of which class I play. Even as DH back when T6 was the highest difficulty I had problems doing even 3 minute runs by myself. Perhaps, I have hands growing out of my a** instead of where they should be growing from? Outside of that, only high GRs are something that I can't - or, rather, unwilling - to do: I'm a HC player only and I'm re-e-e-e-eally afraid of leaving my comfort zone (mid-high 50s in this season).
For me, the conquests from hardest to easiest in the 5th season are: GR55 sets [not done*] >>> no sets GR >>> speed run & avarice >>> set dungeons.
* granted, I spent last two months playing ME3MP and haven't launched DIII even once...
I got 50M conquest whit my no gold geared melee wizard just by killing gold gob in public game. Gr45 no set i did whit "lon bombarment build". 6x gr55 just takes time. And i already did gr72 whit marauder dh in ptr.
conquests/journey are def hard for hc. solo 70 is leaderboard for most classes. i did 70 solo on my hcs dh like months ago and im still on the leaderboard.
my major gripe is the time consuming ones. i enjoy playing one seasonal softcore and one seasonal hardcore every season. also, my main goal per season is to get all the conquests (secondary goal is get all achievements, tertiary goal is to get on leaderboard for my two chars). this season, to get all conquests, im forced to play minimum 2 hardcore 2 softcore. mastering dungeons and doing gr 55 on SECONDARY characters i dont even want to play is a HUGE time suck. almost every class has at least one "difficult" dungeon too even if most of them are easy.
i love conquests like speed racer and etc. ive done them every season. conquests that are hard and require special teamwork and stuff are fun to do. conquests that are just grueling and grind-y like master 8 dungeons are really boring.

I only play HC, and am pretty casual, only have about 160 hours for the season, and still managed to get stash space and get 3/6 for Guardian before i stopped playing for the season.
Nothing in HC season achivements were very hard IMO, outside of maybe getting the 6 different sets to beat GR55. luckily all four of my DH sets managed to do it easy
