More likely it will be released december 2009 because its the best time for sales and during october blizz con they will probably realease demo and stuff.
They have finished the characters (they just aren't revealing the other 3 yet) and act one.
If there are 4 acts, then that 25% done. If there are 5 acts, then that's 20% done.
This year is not looking good.
I'd like to disagree with you on this.
If blizzard said that Act 1 is done, to blizzard that means that act one is 100% complete and playable.
the other acts arent done, simply means they must add "more content" to them.
I agree with you on the characters tough. in the interview they guy's tongue slipped and he said the other 3 characters are fully playable back at their home office.
So I'd say that this game is at a good 50-55% complete.
the other 45-50% would probably include the cinematics between acts.
Random quests.
NPC Dialogue - this will be a good 10% at least, since this game is supposed to be full of content and NPC convos and random quests given by NPCs.
Some monster Designes
and other small things.
but since blizz is working on this and they are perfectionists, I would say its gonna take them atleast till the end of 2009 before they have something they are fully satisfied with
I guess since your 13 it doesnt matter to you if its in 2010 since your life wouldn't drastically change by then.
but I hope to god that its sooner, other wise I'm more than likely to get fired from my job and fail my last Uni year.
Idiots assume that Blizzard only has the two characters done and only what we've been shown in the gameplay vid. This is the stupidest logic I've ever heard. Take a marketing class.
They're just not releasing too much information, otherwise people will not be kept on their toes.
I think Diablo 3 could be released next year, but I don't expect us to wait anymore than 2 years for it. It's been in development for a LONG time now, and they've surely learned their mistakes in the past with "It's almost ready" so hopefully this time we will have an accurate release.
SC2 is actually due out sooner than most people would expect, and D3 soon after that.
^ I think they have all of it done just setting scenic stuff and setting the ingame vids also tweaking the acts. But most of us know they have all the classes done. They are just being patient and releasing it in september or blizzcon october. They probably will release demo's soon. or closed beta.
They're going to be spending a LOT of time on balancing issues/closed beta. I don't expect to see a demo this year, maybe early next year, with the release coming sometime later.

Its been 4 years im pretty sure they spent a lot of time balancing and the closed beta will only be open IMO for 1 month maybe following with a demo then by December - January release.
Lich King should be the first to be released, thinking that the beta test already started.
StarCraft II should also be close to beta at least. With some luck it will be released this year too.
Now for Diablo III there isnt even a pre-alpha version. The video we saw was made (the level and all the loots - so no loot tables either) by the developers for demonstration use only. The content isnt finished, not to mention the balancing issues. We'll be lucky if Diablo III is released before 2010. I'm thinking it would be more realistic to expect it near November-December 2009.
Blizzard always takes about 2 years at least to release the game after the announcement.
^ Not when its already been in the making for 4 years >.<. Lich king was only announced a year or so ago and hadn't even started designing some of the places while they announce Diablo III when they have already done about 60% of the game.

Lich King is an expansion. Its easier to make an expansion within a year or two than a full game.
Blizzard has been working on StarCraft II right after the release of The Frozen Throne expansion for WarCraft III. That was 2003. We're on 2008 right now and StarCraft II will barely make it to release this year.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
