I was veiwing the cinematic teaser of Diablo 3 for a few times and eventually it came to me. what the woman in the video say (Who is, from my guess, Leah) doesn't make any sense at all.
"It has been said, that in the end of all things, we would find a new beginning. But as the shadow once again crawls across our world, and the stench of terror dreads on a bitter wind, the people pray for strength and guidance. They should pray for the mercy of a swift death. For I have seen what the darkness hides...
...I don't think it's safe here."
What the hell connects the first part ("It has been said...new beginning") to the second one ("But as the shadow...strength and guidance")??? It doesn't make any sense at all... at least to me.
I can see how the third part ("They should...darkness hides") is connected to the second one and it's actually a pretty cool statement because she actually consider the people "fools" in a way... thinking that they have chance of survival. She doesn't have hope at all. But the last part ("I don't think it's safe here") which has been said after heavy breaths of frear was really meaningless I didn't understand it at all.
In general, I think that the cinematic Blizzard did for StarCraft 2 for example was way better... it wasn't filled with bullshit and spoke right to the fans in terms that they understand. When you see the Diablo 3 Cinematic for the first time, you dont really listen to what she say... you listen to the familiar music style and watch the pretty pictures, and really, you dont have alot to listen too because she says alot of bullshit.
I don't know... maybe I'm not smart enough to understand that teaser, but I really don't think Blizzard did an awesome job with it... just my thought.

Maybe you need to read more books. It's called a metaphor.

I guess first there was some prophecy then she came back to normal and is thinking about the present.

Nobody values art this days, nobody, they just want flashy pictures and LotR music... wow.
all leah is saying is she has seen what is going to happen and the people seeking guidance and such should actually pray for a swift death, because they are going to die.
'Some people have said that when things get really bad, something good will come of it. But things are about to get so bad that we should all just save ourselves the trouble and lay down and die.'

I think that the cinematic teaser was take from parts of cinematics from the actual game, because it's a jumble of graphics that have no obvious pattern.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
The first line: "It has been said, that in the end of all things... you find a new beginning."
I took this to mean that once the rein of terror had ended (end of d2) the people thought they would be able to live in peace again.
Second line: "But as the shadow once again crawls across our world, and the stench of terror drifts upon a bitter wind, the people pray for strength... and guidance."
This is pretty straight forward. The shadow is a metaphor for "evil" and the people of sanctuary are in fear, so they are praying for strength and guidance to get through these tough times.
Third line: "They should pray for the mercy of a swift death. For I have seen what the darkness hides..."
Shes basically saying they are fools for thinking they can get through this. She knows they are all going to die because she has seen what they are about to face.
Very last line: "...I don't think it's safe here."
Don't take this in context with the rest of the monologue. When she says this I'm certain she is referring to the cathedral that she is hiding in during that scene.
"It has been said, that in the end of all things, we would find a new beginning. ...I don't think it's safe here."
Basically.
"People thought that once evil was defeated (diablo2) we would be safe to start anew in a better world. But now that evil is once again rising, people pray hoping a new hero will rise and vanquish evil again, when they should be really hoping for a swift death. For I have seen what hell has in store for us and there is little hope of defeating it."
So I think Leah is some kind of a seer, being able to see the past as well as the future.
The cinematic is in fact one of her visions, which is why it doesn't much sense as it shows different flash visions for the comet, Hell's hordes and diablo. Which brings us to her next line
"I don't think is safe here"
As she has seen the comet falling from the sky and striking the Cathedral
