When no action is taken against the cheaters over seasons, more and more real players (humans playing the game and not using any of the cheats) either just quit the game, or start to cheat themself. In both scenarios we end up with less legit players.
This is by far the most discouraging thing in the whole "end-game", closely followed by the meta-problem.
The issue some have with paragon levels, is just there due to the fact that botting is rampant.
And here we go again with the pointless discussion and people bringing up the same useless points. It affects people because of the leaderboards, get that into your head.
To all the others: If you have nothing constructive to say, stay away from discussions on Diablofans and stop turning this thread into such terrible mud-slinging contests.
I remember a month or two ago there was a big disscussion about botting and thud. Blizzard made a response updating warden.
How many people did you lose off your friends list? How many people did they get? Sorry have been playing something else due to this.
Looks like a ban wave is coming not only to D3, but to D2 as well (below quote is from 3 hours ago):

Nobody got banned, everyone I know that bots is still botting 24/7
All leaderboards are ppl measuring who got the biggest dick contest... Oh btw my highest solo is 65
