Diablo 3 could have the regular rooms for questing/leveling/killingmonsters.
While another room can be simpler with maybe just vendors in a town where people can trade.
Even still the ability to have a mini-shop of your own displaying the items you are wanting to trade; from here you could have a price for gold to be bought or get messages left as offers.
Have a trade room which could hold more people in the game because there would be less things needing to be loaded. No randomly generated dungeons or enviroments (which I love about Diablo).
I've seen the WoW auction house which is nice, but I don't think its something Diablo do.
{no more dropping items behind an object, runnig over to the other side to get it back :P)
Trading between your own characters is really a stash/inventory issue. Though many know exactly what you mean. No one used to need to go through the Palace Cellar. I felt to risky in towns, just went to a WP that no one usually goes.

Yea on the other forums people wanted to have a auction house.. which I personally didnt like because I thought it wasnt diablo. So I like this idea alot more. and also having the stash like connected to all your players. Just make it a big stash, so you dont have to drop and pick up those items.
This is a far better idea then implementing an auction house which really just wouldnt work since Diablo currnecy is items not gold. It could make an interesting barter system which would allow people to instantly see what you have to trade with out the whole "WUG?" "WUG?" "i asked first," secret "i dont want them to see what I have because its so much better than what they have and im so much better at this game" bullshit that is seemingly universal to Diablo trade channels. Plus it could add another aspect to the game have a friend who goes dungeon diving feeds you the loot you make trades that benefit both him and you to create a virtual company now that would be tight.

Soon comes the day when all shall be free,
Even you, even me.
Soon comes the day all shall die,
Surely you but never I. We rode on the winds of the rising storm,
We ran to the sounds of thunder,
We dance among the lightening bolts
And tore the world asunder
i wouldt mind if the games were listed on another tab fro easier finding waht you need, be it act 1 new char or vex 4 dracul (i traded my crapiest draculs for a vex, and it didnt vanished, yet.)
I think if gold was worth more then it would be better. Because then it wouldnt be as hard to find something, if you want a item, sell what you have for gold and just go buy the item instead of trading items for items which are all worth different amounts...
A: I have a feeling they will implement a Gold/Silver/Copper type of currency. To make the currency an actual commodity that they can control. Bardering only works (or doesn't work, depending on how you look at it) when farmers and dupers put lots of certain items on the market to act as a standard (low this bow is worth X number of SOJs). That would be considered a broken system and I'm sure Blizzard knows how to stop duping by now. Why force the players to invent artificial standards of value when a balanced currency system can be easily implemented. Using the currency can help them stop farmers. It's going to be important for Blizzard to be able to have some control over the game's economy to keep people happy. Stability is important. I don't know about you guys, but I don't enjoy trading up for a bunch of items to find out two weeks later, nobody wants those anymore. The value of currency can change organicly as more is introduced into the realm, but it's predictable.
B: I think the idea of setting up shop in Trade Town or something would be very fun. I don't know if it would work as well as something like a purely web based auction house or something where you can log in and draw from your in-game stash. But the game is all about fun, so I'd almost rather see the 'physical' market town where you set up shop and hire a merc to tend to it or something

Original started discussion in Mulitplayer. Which style?
