Anyways, the room looks cool and there is a monster left indicator (on the minimap), but nothing else to see there. If you are an achievement hunter, you can save your time and do it once they maybe add a Feat of Strength to it or something. For the moment you get nothing more, but the warm feeling of exploring a new area. It is a bit reminiscent world stone tower in d2
total waste of time,no wonder people are bored with this game.
The purpose from what I gather is a tribute. It's not meant to draw in ooo's and ahh's in the practical sense. I will admit it's kind of... awkward in presentation. I think this would have been a perfect easter egg to hide. Self discovering this event, possibly months from now, would have meant much more instead of "go there, do this once, feel underwhelmed". Just my thoughts.

Just found this new secret cow level in the Immortal Throne.
1. Bring the Staff of Herding with you. (Not sure if it has to be the inferno version but mine is)
2. Go to the Immortal Throne scene at Sescheron, ACT3
3. Kanai's soul will awake and open a new red portal to a new cow level
4. Kanai's soul will fight togther with you. He can WW!

Wow that was pretty nice of Blizzard. Might have just been a tiny side portal with not much for loot, but still a thoughtful gesture towards Kanai.

You do not need the Staff of Herding to open the portal. Simply walk to the Immortal Throne room.
